Alright guys I have a feeling that the forums are once again on the verge of being shut down. Now this time the Ladders will be shut down with the forums and GO will ahve to move to fraggamers or die. I realize that you guys like this ladder set up and these forums so it is important to make sure they live on. So read and follow this.
1. Don't flame. this is violated more than anything else. It creates anomosity among the community and makes us look bad. There are other places for flaming. Hell fraggamers has a forums just for flaming, use that and do your part in keeping these forums alive. Flaming is including but not limited to: name calling, insulting players or teams, intigating fights or any number of other ways to get a negative reaction out of another party.
2. Sig threads. don't post them here. Go over to the support forum *stickied at the top of the forum* and post your sig tests there. fyi the sig code is [img.]Your sig web address goes here[/img] and the sig makers are el33tn3ss, shiggety, james bong, quarterdot, nightwolf and capone. I am sure there are others but contact these people in msn not on the forum. Sig threads include but are not limited to " make me a sig, look at my sig, testing my sig, I make sigs, help me with my sig."
3. Recruiting threads. Don't post them here. Refer to the stickied thread at the top and post in the recruiting section. There are other places on the net to fnd members. Fact of the matter is that there are few single players that are looking for a clan here on TWL. If you clan is recruiting how about putting it in your signature. Like Clan Monkey is recruiting contact clanmonkey@hotmail.com. Just make sure it is nonintrusive. Or recruit in game. That is the best pool of unattached talent.
4. Making a thread asking why your thread was locked. Yeah it is dumb. If your thread was locked it was locked for a reason. Can't figure out the reaason? Then you don't belong here. All threads are locked according to the rules posted for the forums. Read them and figure it out.
5. Asking why you were banned from such and such clan server. These threads 9 out of 10 times turn in to flame wars. All servers have contact info use it if you are coming here asking why you got banned you are looking for a fight. Contact them in other ways and bitch them out on msn or elsewhere.
6. Completely off topic posts. Jokes, news stories, funny pictures and anything else not go related needs to go in the GENERAL FORUM. You can post all manners of crap there. Do it.
7. Inter-clan bullshit. Don't bring it here. Yes this includes 11-42. You all should have your own forums. Use them or ask for clan forums at http://www.fraggamers.com. Don't air your dirty laundry here.
8. shit talking about an up comming match. Yeah sure it may be all in good fun but 9 out of 10 times it turns into a pissing contest. The rant boards are for this purpose
9. Get a hold of me on MSN threads. Email them. Don't have there email ask a friend. Don't have any friends? Ask el33tn3ss he has damn near everyone on his msn. Or just wait for them to come online.
10. Advertising another ladder. K everyone can hunt for ladders to play on. If they are not happy on the ladder they are on they will look for another one.
11. Cheating accusations. I would say that just about every cheater is not usign their real name. Coming on here and throwing down a cheating accusation does no good unless you bring the ip with you. So rule of thumb unless you have the ip then suck it up and deal with it. Don't post it here cause it will do nothing but assist in the removal of the GO forums and ladders
12. Pissing contests, aka who has a bigger penis. Yeah these are different than flame wars. Just look at it this way. El33tn3ss has the biggest and everyone pales in comparison you are now all on even ground and can take your pissing contests to the bathroom.
13. Posting pictures of shit. don't do it.
14. Circumventing forum bans. This is when you are forum banned and you create a new name and and come back to the forum before your ban is up. You will get site banned. so don't do it. If you have done something to get your self banned then you should be gone from this place and it should be supported by everyone. Because each person that gets banned is one more nail in the coffin of GO
15. Lastly any post that you make without letting your common sense read it first. It is easy read it and then read these guidelines. If it doesn't fall into any of these catagories and you can see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Go ahead and post it. If there is any confusion ask me to read it and I will point out the bad parts.
16. Complaints of victimization in a clan server by an admin. These issues should be taken up with the server owner and not with the TWL community. If you are getting abused by an admin in a server maybe you are not welcome there, play elsewhere. Don't cry to us.
Now please for the love of god read these and follow them cause the forum is on it's last leg, and when the forum leaves this time the ladders go with them. If you care about GO at all you will follow these simple rules.
