The 1v1 rules have been updated to reflect the forums now. Go by the actual rules page and *not* the forum thread. The actual ruls page contains more info, and will be updated with any changes from now on.
I'm not trying to argue for a rule change, I'm just looking for a little clarification on the armageddon rule.

There were some conversations in the forum here a couple weeks ago and I was under the impression that the armageddon rule was to be the player or team that fires the most nukes loses by forfeit if armageddon is reached. The 2v2 rule thread in this forum indicates that. I would assume that the 1v1 ladder would have the same rule.

If you look on the rule page for the 2v2 ladder it states that "most nukes loses if armageddon" is the rule, yet on the 1v1 rule page it still states that "the person who causes armageddon loses".

Are the rules really different between the two ladders or did you guys just miss updating the 1v1 rules?
I just noticed this, too, 20 points wonder victory? Why bother having wonder victory at all?

No kidding. THe only time you are going to have a 20 point Wonder advantage is if BOTH players build several wonders and 1 player is on the verge of winning by conquest anyway, hehe

As for the armegeddon rule, it was my impression that it was in fact change to the player who shoots of the most nukes loses just like 2v2.

#1) The Armageddon Issue - I was going to change it but did not want to make any changes without discussing it with excite/stalls first. I believe the consensus is that "most nukes" is a better option than "last to fire." When i talk to them about it it may be updated.

#2) Carch, do not go by the forum anymore, i changed the 20 wonder point victory to 16 in the actual rules (navagate through the rules menu at the top of the page).

I saw 20 in the actual rules... in fact just looked at it again and it still says 20 for both 1v1 and 2v2 matches.

Another rules question: the rules state that the defender chooses the map type. However, in my current match, the challenger chose the map type after I specified the match times. Is the challenge system broken or the rule?

As for the map types, it seems that for the player ladders (1v1 ladders) there is no interface that allows the defenders to pick their map within TWL (this is posible with team based ladders on TWL, but player ladders are more limited for some reason). The rule still stands that once you get in the game, defender picks the map type.

Currently it will display a random map choice, i'm trying to get that fixed.
