how do you know if your in love with someone ?

ps --
you won't know if it's true love until you break up and never see the person again.

ROFL

TWL needs a broken heart for posting

sEV-O-Cam ;> -->
you don't just 'know' (In my opinion) Clash, you just got lucky budday!... it's after years being together that you find out if you were ever really in love.. and if you still ARE then you know it's true. Truest love is trial and error. Give it about 2 yrs together, and if you still have the puppy eyes and you are tripping over your tongue then you are doing ok.

Only an opinion tho... love hath failed meh dewd. For now I shun it ;D
OMG Clash hehee

now that kinda love RAWKS! =]]]

Seven's right. Unfortunately, the only way you'll ever know if the person is the one is to suffer losing them. I eman obviously sometimes you meet someone and you're happy, and it can go on forever, but in most cases it seems that you'll never be fully sure of your love for a person until you've lost them.

hmmm good question....I know I love beer
How to know you're in love:

After 16 hours of a straight diet of various malted spirits and the finest hopps a Welfare check can buy, you find your self at the local jiggly room staring at the anonymous d-cups of a random, faceless dancer through the disorted bottom of a triple JD on the Rocks. Looking down you realize that a night of debauchery has siphoned your life savings, which currently resides in your wallet, down to 5 dollars and a 6-month old condom. You are faced with the triple dilemmas of an empty glass, a drunken excuse for an erection and the wandering attentions of the puslating princess-of-porn in front of you, and you only have the remaining resources to remedy one situation.

As the serving wench passes behind you, and the dancing wench passes ahead, you hand the empty glass to the waitress, pull out that wrinkled old fiver and gently tuck it into the impatient stripper's twisted, beer-soaked garter. "One more song", you whisper. She smiles.

THAT, my friends, is Love.

Twisted. I am impressed!

But, to throw my 2cents in..

There are 2 types of love.. Romantic and companionate.

Romantic love = puppy dog eyes, weak knees, butterflies in the stomach, poetry reading, elaborate valentines gifts.

Companionate love = less sweaty palms, more deep seated feelings of commitment. Deeper connection, thoughts of her/him in terms of lifetime together. Feeling of "oneness".

The ultimate is to have both at the same time. Usually the first one gives way to the second over time.

So how do you know? Alot of it *is* just knowing. Alot of it is when you pause, for no apparent reason, and just realize it.

Check this out.. http://mentalhelp.net/psyhelp/chap10/chap10d.htm

And then of course, there is beer.

When wake up one day and suddenly have the clarity and certainty that you cannot 'afford' to live without that other person in your life, THEN, you know.

I disagree with Seven, I you have to lose something to truly know it's value, then u do not -ever- live in the present but in the future, or past maybe. By that I mean, that, that comment Seven made tells me she is a person who does not know how to enjoy what she has (material, spiritual, etc.) and cannot 'relax'.
