My little project (crossbow)

Ok... so far I have a 6 foot wide, 3 foot long crossbow with a 1/8in. steel cable stretching the span of the bow, I've yet to make the trigger or the guide for bolts yet, but its coming along nicely
I'll post pics when we return our 600$ digital camera that is perma-stuck in charge mode

Be careful on the cable. When metal snaps it can become lethal.

yup, I clamped it on each end with 2 half-inch cable ties and its set an inch deep into a former cross-country ski... heh.
I wonder how many pounds its gonna wind up being

well... apparently the assistant principal heard about my crossbow and told my physics teacher he cant give me a grade on it. fuck dat...
I went in and talked to her about it, told her it took me a week of trying out desighns to get the fucking thing to work right, and now that I finaly came up with a working crossbow I cant get graded on it, she said she would talk to the principal and see what she can do.

I may have my first test subject already heh.

I prefer the good old fashion way. A rubber band and a paper clip.

I hate when people roll up little peices of paper and shoot em with rubber bands (theyre called paper wasps i think...) Ive actually bled after being shot by one of those before
