North Carolina police are searching for three men who robbed a newly opened Durham restaurant at gunpoint Sunday night.

The Pit Authentic Barbecue has a sign posted by the front door that reads “No Weapons. No Concealed Firearms,” according to North Carolina Gun Blog.

Suspects entered the restaurant’s back door shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday. Workers were terrorized and forced to lie down on the floor. Two employees were assaulted in the traumatic incident, according to ABC 11.

"They're doing great," restaurant owner Greg Hatem said of the workers. "One of them actually went to the hospital and was released. They took a good look at him, he's fine."

Clearly, the sign says No Weapons.

I guess if you bring weapons, you get cash instead of BBQ?

Those signs should say "No Legal Weapons Allowed. Please rob us!"

I can understand your frustration that if only the patrons were armed they could have fired randomly at the intruders and eventually killed them during the gunfight. Instead no one was seriously harmed and the robbers are being hunted by the police. What a tragedy.

I wonder if the weapons the robbers used were registered...
It's really hard to get a registered handgun in some states.

I'm not some anti gun nut. I don't own a firearm myself but I want to someday. I just believe that while a well armed populace can deter crimes sometimes well armed individuals can shoot the wrong person during a confusing confrontation. Perhaps in this case it might have been easy to tell the perps from the workers. But it will not always be that way. An armed individual can save lives in cases such as these but, far more than law enforcement, they may shoot bystanders or think that an innocent person might be a perp and shoot without thinking things through.

it only took me about 3 months to get my ccw permit in the mail, but I've heard some had to wait 6+ months for theirs.

ccw owners should/need to know how to handle their weapon, and should know what is in front, around, and behind their target(s).

the cops work for the State. and in the States corner are the Judges. more importantly, and more recently, the media is now part of the State.

Cops... they just dont give a fuck anymore and will shoot up who ever they want because they are protected by the State. the all knowing, all powerful... State. the most evil entity ever created by man. this has been proven over and over again by cops shooting unarmed people, random people in the streets or when all of the cops southern Cal just started shooting any and everything while looking for a cop gone rogue.

because the cops are personally protected, they dont give a fuck who they kill. in fact, now that the State has lowered the IQ for all new servants, we the citizens have a greater chance of being shot by the State than our military members have in the entire war on terrorism.

unlike agents of the Statists, who are protected by the media and the judges from prosecution and are not personally sued but the State is, when citizens have a weapon, they are responsible for those who they fire upon. this means that when a citizen is going to open fire, they know who they are going to be shooting because if they fuck up, they are looking at years in prison or, if you are in a progressive nightmare state like mine, Cali, you will be facing the death penalty whereas a pig just goes to court and the State pays for his errors.

that is, unless the person he shot is Black. or, Brown. but if hes a whitie... slap on the wrist with paid vacation and the media does everything they can to keep the story quiet.

The criminals can read quite well, but they are translating the sign differently. While law abiding citizens might understand that as "no guns allowed", criminals read that as "sitting ducks, please rob us".

Actually knocks, I must correct you, my research has shown that isnt the common "Dancing Seagull" but the much more unpredicable "Gay Dancing Seagull". You can tell from the footwork and seemingly uncoordinated arm movements. I'm sure hexy has many videos of himself performing this he can share if asked nicely.

Check out Sensei Seagal destroying up to 5 assailants. I've mastered this stance and technique but I'm not confident I could do this...

I'm telling you!

Snake has a neck, it's just that his disproportionately large chin gets in the way.
