File Sharers

“You don’t have to be a mass downloader. Someone who downloads a single movie will be logged as well,” research leader Dr. Tom Chothia was quoted as saying. “If the content was in the top 100 it was monitored within hours – someone will notice and it will be recorded.”

I have a co-worker that moved to Serbia and wants to watch the Bears. Anyone know a good site where he can watch them? he would prefer free of course.

From a google search... a Torrent share?
hmmm, I wasn't expecting anyone to start searching, I'll make him google search one. I just thought someone on here has probably done it before and has a recommendation. Thanx for the effort.

considering the NFL is trying to move into international territory, you'd think they'd try to make legal options for watching games overseas.

AFAIK there is no legal way. i do peruse the NY Giants forums and I do remember a post every so often from someone overseas wanting to watch Giants games, and off the top of my head, I can't remember a single legal option being given, but he will get some other options.

The right is more virtuous than the left. They have twice as many virtues because they have double the standards.

Download the viewing program that is required & just click on any sport or game you want.
Websites that stream live sports for free are illegal.
In fact, they are morally reprehensible.
Zero tolerance should be given to operators of these sites,
insofar as they are committing copyright infringement.
When you encounter one of these sites, you should alert
internet authorities right away, who can take proper action.
Going further off of this, if you know any individuals who
do this, you should turn them in without warning. They're
only hurting themselves by continuing with their illegal
transgressions. Poor, innocent corporations are going
completely broke because of immoral individuals who are
only concerned with getting what they want in spite of
monetary consequences their actions hold for others.

i know you are being sarcastic, but on another note - illegal watching of NFL games in markets where there are no other options right now is a positive for the league. would they rather nobody watch or people start watching and start exposing the league to potential markets for legal viewing down the road. at the end of the day, it's a net positive.

this is why the entertainment industry was kind of retarded. instead of embracing the internet, they fought it tooth and nail and this was a shoot self in foot event. unable to see the future of digital distribution and starting to create forward looking platforms, they did the opposite. even putting up some episodes on youtube that they constantly tried to shutdown was a net positive.

as the generations started to rely on on-demand viewing, this exposed the content to a larger audience. we started getting used to not have to catch shows on tv and deal with commercials, and if it wasn't for online streaming, a lot of us wouldn't have either a)been exposed to some of these shows in the first place or b)would have known about them but not bothered to watch via traditional distribution channels.

some of the media companies are realizing this. a couple networks have streamed pilots weeks in advance of their broadcast premier dates (new JJ Abrams show for example) in order to utilize the power of the internet to create a buzz and spread the word.

better late than never. but still not enough.

I agree, I download music illegally, to check it out a couple times, then buy it. I've bought over..300 cds in the last I dunno, 2-3 years that way. If it weren't for the illegal downloads, I would of bought...50 cds maybe.
