In case anyone didn't catch the action yesterday.
An alleged Anarchist group known as Black Bloc broke some windows and caused damage to buildings.
As a rational person (even if only in my mind), that is clearly against the law. That is either private, or public property, and you do not have a "right" to do whatever you want with another persons property.
So one would think that rowdy people would be singled out, weeded out, and arrested for committing crimes that we already have on the books.
Instead, no, none of that happens and instead their tyrannical mayor decides he has to sign new orders, impose his own rules, and implement his own idea of Marshall law.
Now anything that can be (ill) defined as a weapon, whether being used as one or not, can and will be confiscated away from you in public (in downtown Seattle). Whether this actually gets limited to just flag poles, or car keys, cars, shoes, gloves, and legs is not yet known.
WTF is wrong with enforcing the laws we already have? WTF is this desperation to punish everyone for the singular actions of the few? WTF is this desire to regulate and restrict until every law abiding citizen gives up and becomes a vigilante?
It's like everything, when you make too much it becomes worthless and loses all meaning.
Laws are essentially no different, especially when nobody knows/cares/enforces any of the tens of thousands that we already have on file.
Rinse and repeat and this is how America became a shithole.
