You love oil too? FUCK YEA!

That would be me Aria, I love the car. I was going to say something in your other thread, but I don't like you.

Pro's: Mileage, very nice interior, good sound proofing, but you do hear that little diesel engine turning. It has shift paddles on the steering wheel, normal drive and sport drive. Sport drive does eat more gas. I've always had gas guzzlers and I'm very please with the mileage. I love the looks of the car, but I think the front end could be nicer looking. I don't know why I don't like it on the golf. When I look at the GTI from the front, I like it a lot.

Cons: Like I said about the engine, it's not a powerful car, but it gets the job done. I think a lot of people like the car, I get a lot of looks, but that's probably because my cock is sitting in the back seat. It's roomy, but not that roomy!

I see Golf's all over Europe, fuck the Japs man! Go German!

You are an evil man! You already drilled holes in our Mother Earth, and threatened my sweet pussy with ritualistic shaving!

What's next on your agenda, hmmm? Sharks with lasers on them?

saw somewhere posted that you can get close to 700 miles on a full tank, what has been your experience?

edit: Cocytus, I also read some DSG (automatic shifting control unit) tends to overheat and throws the car into neutral. Over 15,000 or 53,000 were recalled in the USA (qqty varies per sourse). What's your model year?

Hey I have a 2001 Firebird Trans Am WS-6 Convertible. It will get 29mpg on the highway (and can do it). IF I don't get into the gas.....what the hell fun is that though

Of course the motor spins 1600rpm at 70mph in 6th gear

I knew somebody at HP in Colorado Springs back in 1999 that had a black WS-6. I was never much of a Firebird person, but that car was a beast. The torque was incredible. I had a 1989 911 at the time (with a measly 217 HP) and wouldn't go anywhere near his WS-6, lol.

Had another friend in Fremont, CA with a 1999 Mustang Cobra that he dumped about $20,000 in putting a Vortec supercharger, new suspension, racing fuel cell, roll cage, etc, and he used to take it to the tracks in the area and race it. Had it dyno'd at over 500HP (forget how much torque it had). He took me for a drive one day and it was SCARY fast. Almost too much power for a street car. He asked me if I wanted to try driving it, and I said no. I'd wrap us around a street lamp and kill us both.

325 HP is enough for me right now until I can start going to the track and get better driving skills.
I just bought a Ford Fiesta and it kicks ass. They make them in Europe too, Aria. As a matter of fact, you can get a turbo option on it as well. Of course, the tards at Ford decided not to give it to us in the US market.

Major, the focus here is decent, VERY. It is very well built, European details in it, tight joints, hinges and gadgets, doesnt appear to be Ford product at all.

but, *I* dont want to be driving a Ford around, I lived 45 minutes from Deeetroit for 8 yrs (Ann Arbor) and worked for automotive industry for some of those years, im done with the blue ford logo, nothing "personal", just done.

2011

Now that I'm thinking about it a little more. While is sport mode, the gears don't really sync as well as I think they should. For instance, you are coming to a stop, sometimes the car will throw you down into first gear too soon and you get a little sudden deceleration. When you are stopping and you have your foot on the brake, it feels like you need a little more or less brake than anticipated. It's a very minor issue, it doesn't happen in normal drive or if you are using the paddles.

I forgot to mention the bucket seats. If you are a big guy, I find them uncomfortable for long drives. They are very good seats for holding your ass in around a corner, but they also feel to tight. I've thought about taking them out and putting in something more comfortable for long drives. That is what the car is all about, but they also tried to give a racy feel. With the paddles, it does feel racy, but not compared to an M3.

On the American model you only get one cigarette/accessory power outlet up front. For some fucked up reason they put another one in the trunk. There should be two or three up front, ALWAYS! I can't figure out who wants a power outlet in the fucking trunk. Is that to keep the dead body cold?

I had mine lowered about an inch and it makes it look better.

It's very roomy inside.

Diesel is a little more expensive. Whatever! The Prius is an ugly turd.

Honestly, I love this car. It gets the job done in a lot of ways.

I'm talking about the 4 door 2.0 TDI Golf 2011.

thank you, im looking at 2007, and yeah, f. the prius. I did the math and you would have to drive 25,000 miles a year over 5 years straight to begin to get the extra money u paid for it "back" thru fuel savings.

the DSG "box" has had trouble before, look it up...seems to be triggered by overheating.

than you for all the info, im calling tomorrow to take a test drive and possibly haggle.

Aria the biggest complaint I hear about the TDI is that it chews through ignition coils. I don't enjoy working on vehicles, so anything that needs constant maintenance is just a pain in the ass to deal with all the time, that would be a no-go for me on the TDI despite all the other good qualities it has.

Cool by me. I thought since you mentioned MPG that you might be interested, it also was German designed.

I've only had mine for a couple days and the fit and finish is very nice. We sell alot of VW parts and they can be maintenance heavy. However I just had a loyal VW owner tell me his wife's new Passat(I think, maybe Jetta) is "so nice on the inside, it makes you forget you are in a VW". He loves it.

Good luck finding your new chariot.
as luck would have it, I saw the brand new Fiesta on the road tonight, ahead of me while driving, yowza! this is not the ole college Fiesta we are used to!

The fuel tank is 14.5 gal. I can easily get 40 miles per gallon doing 70 mph. I'd save that last .5 gallons, so you are looking at about a 560 mile range. I imagine if you drive conservatively you might get 650, maybe.

One last con, the brakes seem kind of whimpy to me. Like I said, my last car was an M3 and that sucker stopped when you put your big toe on the brake peddle. I know apples and oranges, but it seems to take a little more to brake.

I think the Fiesta is a nice looking car too.

Good luck!

I'd think it'd be a gas to drive on the roads in Spain (or the EU). It handles like a go-kart.
What a manly choice in cars.

Economically, it's a wise choice.

Hey fucktard, how the hell are ya?

For a business, I would choose the cheapest, most economical car I can find.

For personal use, thats a different story. These are always personal decisions as beauty is in the eye of the beholder and largely representative of the personality that operates them.

So yeah, if you're a cheap bitch [emphasis on bitch], then you have broadcast who and what you are. Might as well tell everyone that as a man, you use lotion for your hands.

Since I had the great opportunity to live abroad in the world as I was growing up, I learned there is more than one way to skin a cat. I can appreciate that fact.

You on the other hand, grew up a redneck(sorry NBF). You are pressured into thinking that you need to keep up with the Joneses. All the while not knowing or caring that the Joneses are soul-less, bankrupt people.

I am a man. I make decisions based on what I think, not what others force me to think.

I am doing fine, thank you.

P.S. My lady friends like my soft hands.

Speaking of which, how long have you been putting lotion on your hands?

Long enough to have your Momma stop complaining about rough hands.

Anytime buddy.

Glad to get your day off to a better start. Hopefully the rest of it fares better for you.

Feel free to drop by Vent; BF3 beta is out later this week if you get the time after that.
