Date: Sep 24, 2011

Venue: Pepsi Center
Broadcast: Pay-per-view, Spike TV and Facebook
MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view)
Champ Jon Jones vs. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (for light-heavyweight title)
Matt Hughes vs. Josh Koscheck
Rob Broughton vs. Travis Browne
Nate Diaz vs. Takanori Gomi
Mark Hunt vs. Ben Rothwell
PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike TV)
Aaron Riley vs. Tony Ferguson
Tim Boetsch vs. Nick Ring
PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook)
Ricardo Romero vs. James Te Huna
Cole Escovedo vs. Takeya Mizugaki
Junior Assuncao vs. Eddie Yagin
The main fight is Jones first title defense. It's been quote a story with Rampage accusing Jones of spying on him in camp. It's a great fight and I like both fighters, so I'm not rooting for either fighter. But Jones looks to unstoppable, so I pick Jones by KO. The ironic part is that Rampage is the last LHW to defend his belt successfully. I guess Machida did, but nobody thought he won, so it was an immediate rematch.
Koscheck vs Hughes. Hughes is on a 3 fight win streak and everyone has been counting him out in every fight. But Koscheck is just to good. Hughes can't out wrestle or strike Kos at this point in his career. I expect Kos to KO him.
Rob Broughton vs. Travis Browne is a battle of HW prospects who like to slug. I go with Browne as he's fought in the UFC twice.
Nate Diaz vs. Takanori Gomi. Gomi is 1-2 in the octagon and Nate diaz has lost his last 2 fights. Diaz will come out and try to pepper him with shots and Gomi will try to take his head off. I just got a feeling that Gomi's power will win.
Mark Hunt vs. Ben Rothwell. A battle of veteran heavy weights that will slug. Rothwell has been out for a year plus. Hunt only slugs, no kicks, Rothwell is more versatile and may try to take this to the ground, but Hunt's power and chin will be too much for Rothwell.
