A memorabilia dealer who profited from O.J. Simpson for many years is the latest former crony of the football star to write a tell-all book, this one alleging a groggy Simpson, high on marijuana, confessed to killing his ex-wife after he was acquitted.

Mike Gilbert also claims he helped his former friend wiggle out of the murder charges by suggesting how to bloat his hands so they would not fit the notorious bloody gloves.

Gilbert's book, "How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence, Loyalty, Regret and Remorse," is due in stores Monday. It was released to The Associated Press in advance.

You guys this this is legit? Or just some way for this guy to make money?
If it's legit, it's fucking stupid.

If it's true, this jackass just left the door wiiiiide open for him to be arrested on conspiracy charges, accessory to murder, and probably a number of other things.

Not to mention, it might actually open up the door to arrest and charge OJ with conspiracy to cover up a murder.

I'm pretty sure they could try him for that charge even though he was found not guilty for the actual murder.

I doubt it's true though.
The law is the law.

OJ is innocent.
I wish there was Double Jeopardy exceptions for dumbasses like OJ.
I think it would be funny if OJ turned up stabbed to death.

Just because a jury couldn't find him guilty, doesn't mean he's innocent. It just means he was innocent in a legal sense, is all. Don't forget he was found liable in civil court.

Yes, I too think it would be ironic if his life ended similarly to his ex-wife's.

We don't have it here either. OJ did subsequently lose a civil trial against the family of Ron Goldman though.

@Molim and Racheli - NO ONE has said OJ was innocent, not even the jury on his criminal trial. A trial attempts to prove guilt, not innocence.

There is a way around double jeopardy. If someone is found innocent on state charges that does not eliminate the possibility of being brought up on federal charges for the same crime. (or vice versa).

I know this, I was responding to Molim, who DID say OJ is innocent.
Is it when a judge throws out the charges due to insufficient evidence that it can be presented again before a court if sufficient new evidence is uncovered that warrants a second look?
