9/11 Truther beat up chick in New York at a Laura Bush book signing.

A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents has told him to shut up, authorities said yesterday. German Talis, 22, was shouting obscenities at the Bushes, who were leaving the building Tuesday, when he crossed paths with Wendy and John Lovetro and their daughter Maureen, 18, who has cerebral palsy.

They had been in the audience to hear the Bushes talk about their children's book, "Read All About It."

"He began yelling about Iraq and Iran at Jenna Bush. She was waving at the crowd. I told the guy, 'What are you doing? Shut up. This is about a child and books,' " said John Lovetro. "He was unperturbed. I said, 'Get out of here! You're being a moron!' "

The next thing he knew, Talis was allegedly punching Maureen - a fan of the first lady since meeting her in 2004.

This poor girl is being used to engage the peaceful activist of We Are Change. John Lovetro, the girl’s father, struck Gary leaving a flesh wound under his right eye. Gary, aware of his rights, did not at any time defend himself and yet remains the victim, now facing charges of 3rd degree assault. There's a 10min video that they posted... doesn't show the fight, but reportedly interviews some woman who describes the fight differently.

One thing for sure... NY is a Democratic town... and the truther is the one who's in jail, atm....

I think people like Martin Luther King had the right idea. Protest peacefully. Let people know your plight, and common decency fixes it. I don't like how people try to stuff their ideals and opinions down our throats.

Dudes, go to their site, they've raised $300 for their cause... for what? $300 is NOT going to change shit. In the scope of things... they aren't even a zit on the back of change. Why would anyone want to assault them... aside from the whole "they are friggin' annoying" thing. Sounds like a bunch of people who need to feel empowered.

anybody ever see that malcolm in the middle episode where the bully goes to punch Malcolm, who moves out of the way, and the bully lands the lightest little girly tap punch on the kid in the wheel chair, who tips over and the whole playground freaks out on the bully.

Doesn't seem like enough information to make a judgement one way or the other.

So all you have is hype and hearsay. If he hit a wheel chair bound woman he is a douche who deserves some jail time, and if he was exercising his constitutional right to free speach and did not hit anyone then his civil rights have been violated.

But until there is some evidence, I believe you are innocent until proven guilty. As for the video, yes, the secret service does have the right to create a protective zone as long as it is uniformly enforced and not used to simply screen out people of opposing view points.

Like, in the first two minutes.. he's being told by the Secret Service to move across the street. So the dude goes "Who are YOU? Let me see your ID!"
So the Secret Service guy whips out his ID, shows it to the dude.. and says "Okay, I showed you MY ID, let me see YOUR ID"
Then the guy wouldn't show it to the Secret Service guy... "Why do you need to see it? I don't have to show you..."
