sesquipedalian: using long words

Save humanity and learn more words at http://www.Freerice.com. For every correct word they donate 20 grains of rice to a starving nation. Trust me, it adds up.

My highest level is 43.
What the hell I keep getting tripped up on 40. Not cool.
Well, it took me 900 grains of rice, but I hit 43.
44!

OK, no more rice for awhile. Those kids can fend for themselves.
glad they have rice to give away but we have to play a game for them to get it, makes sense.
Their goal is to get us at 5 billion pounds of rice.

That way, when they air drop it to the needy, the warlords can come snatch it all up.
I did pretty well...after studying synonyms and burning a Roget's Thesaurus last year for my GRE, I've seen a lot of those words before.... however, this one funked me up:

I mean..WTF!?!

This is pretty cool. Also: I have actually heard of kwashiorkor, but then again, I am in science....
wtf is cahier? is it misspelled chaire?

I had to try to look it up after being dumbfounded

How many grains of the 20 grains of rice go to the rice counters before the remaining rice gets to the starving nations?

I donated 4,000 grains of rice, that's good enough for one night heh. That actually gets pretty tiring after a while. Suppose it's better than having to go and collect the rice myself and send it over... Nice find and a very neat idea.
WTF is with these people getting to level 48 and 49?

I feel so inferior

I noticed that mine started at a different vocab level than someone else's here. Because at level 50 I had around 2500ish grains of rice. Then my GF started another session and it started at vocab 40 after 4 words. I gave up after I hit 4K, that and the words were just occupation specific I believe. I noticed some of the words also had to do with application of the word and not the definition. Reminded me of the MCAT >< That's about when I quit lol.
I'm pretty sure if you get the first set of words right you automatically start at 40, which conveniently enough is pretty close to my exact vocab level. Although, I have been steadily climbing, mostly because I can intuitively define words which I have never heard before. It's a completely useless skill, developed by years of multiple choice testing, and probably the reason I was able to get an 800 verbal on my SATs and get into good colleges, with scholarships
Heh, I got a 540 on my SATs for verbal comprehension and such, though I did score over 700 for the math parts.

I are gimped in teh language, or am I? O_o
And yet, you own me at this game. One of those mysteries of life...

By the way, does anyone know if there is some sort of Spanish equivalent to this website? It would make my so happy if there was, you have no idea. The closest I can find is Spanish hangman, which is retarded and meant for five year olds. My rudimentary Spanish thanks you.

It's no fun coming onto this forums and actually using language and proper grammar.

Instead I fling my poop.
