NFL Playoff Discussion: Conference Championships

Didn't see a thread for this so I guess I will start it.

Going to be a rather interesting one in New England.

Current temp at kickoff is forecasted to be 5-10 degrees falling closer to 0 as the game prgresses. Gusty winds with a windchill between minus 20 and minus 30. Brr!

I am just curious who the Giants will be playing in the superbowl =)

I'm not sure how many of you have played football, but god damn that would suck. I remember playing in snowstorms with the temp in the 20's and when you get hit or hit someone it hurts like fucking hell. I can only image how painful a game in those conditions would be.

But then again, that is football weather. They aren't the toughest athletes in the world for no reason.

Hmm Giants vs the Patriots would be pretty neat. Although it would be funny of a miracle upset happened wit hthe Bolts.

i am taking the Giants +7.5 and the Bolts +17...send it to the bank vegas.

Forecast is a little better for this one. Cold comes through after the game. Local station reporting the following.

Kickoff: 20 degrees
Halftime: 19 degrees
18-0: 17 degrees

Bolts are getting 14 now, so people seem to thinking like you. With Rivers, Gates, and LT all banged up that could be a good pick.

Everyone seemingly wants the Patriots to lose (unless you're a Pats fan, obviously). It just doesn't look like that will happen. Packers would have the best shot as far as NFC teams.

Greenbay 28 Giants 17


My predictions, think how cool that superbowl would be, you have a revitalized Brett Farve and a young yet talented Packers team vs the potential greatest team of all time. Super XXXI rematch , the first Superbowl I watched.

im worried about big blue, eli has never done well in cold, and their secondary is hurtin. but, nobody gave them a chance in hell in the last 2 games either, and favre is also capable of poppin off 3 INT on any given sunday.

it's almost 1 am here and i am dead tired from the day's activities, it was 64F no wind, no clouds, all sun, blue sky, so we spent the day out, all day....couldnt take a nap (kids) so...here i am doing anything and everything to try and stay awake and enjoy the game.

well, yeah, that and pats won,

i had a great day with the kids. we rode our bikes, our 5 yr old and me, for about....3 hrs, we rode to a large park nearby, it was a real hike for her. she is coming along really well with that bike, no training wheels since she turned 5. when we came home the little one was just waking up from a 3 hr nap (yikes) so he was full of energy and ready to...so, we played a lot. i also cooked some sausages on the grill and some asparagus, made a butter-honey-garlic paste and lightly brushed the asparagus with it. kids ate hamburgers. wife had some Manchego cheese and cured Iberico ham, with some red wine. i washed down my meal with fresh squeezed orange juice, we got one of them juicers.

ok, i confess, i ate a few maria crackers with nutella on them, wayyy after the fact.
