Ouch! Can't say I feel bad for the little bastard

NEW YORK - Judgment day arrived for baseball’s steroids era, with the Mitchell report set to be released and posted on the Internet for all to see.

The first name to emerge Thursday was seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens.
Clemens reportedly named in Mitchell report

ESPN.com reported that Brian McNamee, a former trainer for the Yankees and Clemens, said information he gave Mitchell on supplying the pitcher with steroids is in the report. The Web site, citing an unidentified source close to the trainer, said McNamee told investigators he supplied Clemens with steroids.

Randy Hendricks, Clemens’ agent, did not immediately

Ugh. When will the witch hunt end? Honestly.

If I was a MLB player, what prevents me from ending my carrer, and making a big fucking list of all the guys I didnt like, and then saying they all did steroids?

Whether or not it can be proven doesnt matter, because its the accusation that hurts the most.

I'm over it.

Anyone on this report will not make the hall of fame and rightfully so. If Pete Rose, who never cheated to get any of his record number of hits, can't get in for betting. Then none of these guys should either.

Want to bet on that?

I agree if they are proven guilty. Will they be able to do that? That Im not sure of.
most of the media speculation has agreed with that statment, look at Mark McGwire got what 23% of the votes?
All I am saying is if the Rocket is on the list, no way in hell they keep him out.

There are not many active players I would say that about, but he is one of them. All McGwire did was hit home runs, he was by no means a shoe-in anyways.
Well i just saw on espn they talked to a few voters, and said if Clemens was on the list they would not vote for him. Take it for what it is.
Sorry but I don't blame a single MLB player for taking steroids in the past. It wasn't tested for, it wasn't even illegal in MLB until 2002(I think), and their paycheck was dependent on performance. That level of temptation is just too much.

MLB should concentrate on the present instead of dwelling on the past. Nothing good is coming from it!

And I can't believe Selig is advocating the release of this report at all let alone if it's not 100% proven the listed players are guilty of it.
Baseball is/was dirty. I'm glad this report is coming out. Screw the cheats and those who enabled the cheats.
Here is the rumored list that's been listed elsewhere on the internet:

Brady Anderson, Manny Alexander, Rick Ankiel, Jeff Bagwell, Barry Bonds, Aaron Boone, Rafaeil Bettancourt, Bret Boone, Milton Bradley, David Bell, Dante Bichette, Albert Belle, Paul Byrd, Wil Cordero, Ken Caminiti, Mike Cameron, Ramon Castro, Jose and Ozzie Canseco, Roger Clemens, Paxton Crawford, Wilson Delgado, Lenny Dykstra, Johnny Damon, Carl Everett, Kyle Farnsoworth, Ryan Franklin, Troy Glaus, Rich Garces, Jason Grimsley, Troy Glaus, Juan Gonzalez, Eric Gagne, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Giambi, Jeremy Giambi, Jose Guillen, Jay Gibbons, Juan Gonzalez, Clay Hensley, Jerry Hairston, Felix Heredia, Jr., Darren Holmes, Wally Joyner, Darryl Kile, Matt Lawton, Raul Mondesi, Mark McGwire, Guillermo Mota, Robert Machado, Damian Moss, Abraham Nunez, Trot Nixon, Jose Offerman, Andy Pettitte, Mark Pior, Neifi Perez, Rafael Palmiero, Albert Pujols, Brian Roberts,Juan Rincon, John Rocker, Pudge Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Scott Schoenweiis, David Segui, Alex Sanchez, Gary Sheffield, Miguel Tejada, Julian Tavarez, Fernando Tatis, Maurice Vaughn, Jason Varitek, Ismael Valdez, Matt Williams and Kerry Wood.

Some interesting names on this list.

It was still an illegal substance though under the law. So whether or not Baseball tested or not.

Like Football does not have teams full of people who are using HGH or other illegal substances. Where do you think those girths that the D and O linemen have in the NFL came from?

It was not from eating too many Whoppers. The NFL is just as bad or worse, they just have not been targeted like Baseball, thats all.

I only see one Brave on that list. John Rocker.

I heard Bobby Cox ran a tight ship. Maybe that's why Sheff, and some of the other tightass players left.

In any case, the Rocket does NOT look like he took them. He's too flabby, and his arms look thin.

well, seeing as how congress isn't doing anything, maybe we should get them involved.

Lyle Alzado would beg to differ .

I still think the whole thing is blown way the fuck out of proportion. You mean guys were doing whatever they could to get an edge in a sport where they didn't test for it and a sport in which ONE HIT A WEEK is the difference between $400,000 a year and $4,000,000 a year?

The best response would be for all of those players to meet in a ball park, and form a middle-finger out of all of them, and send that picture to Congress.

What are they going to do ? Hold those players in contempt ?

Then those players will be in the same boat as Rove & Bolten. But of course Congress should focus on the baseball players first. Then NFL, NBA, soccer, lacrosse, biking, marathons, WWE, UFC, and then maybe pinball wizards. CSS players ? After all of that is resolved, could then get back to Rove/Bolten. Gotta have priorities.

16th amendment
I dont understand why my tax dollars are going to this rather than more bullets to shoot insurgents with WTF, teh gov run out of important stuff to do?? WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN ?!?!!

If baseball players use steroids, then so will kids.

OMG THE CHILDRENZ!!!!
I can't believe Nook Logan is on the list.
If Roger Clemens is on this list would anybody be surprised? I certainly wouldn't be. I've thought he has taken them for years.

It's awesome IMO. And in reality, none of these Congressmen will be held accountable for this waste of tax dollars.

Needs lots more like this IMO. I hope this drags on for years, and years, costing billions of dollars, creating new agencies to oversee sports and drug testing them ALL THE TIME.

It's wonderful

You are the same dude who said gay people couldn't be soldiers, that only alpha males were capable, so pardon us if we take you with a grain of salt.

Also, if you think the situation in the Middle East - which is a beast of our own creation - is the 'biggest clusterfuck in the history of Earth, I am guessing you failed history.
Don't want to read all this stuff.

If it's illegal, it's illegal!

I'm all for testing for drugs on our politicians! You want my tax dollars, here pee into this cup!

What a bunch of jerk offs we have running this country! Let the MLB take care of this problem. If they want mongoloids playing in baseball, let them play!

This is such a waste of our tax money! I would spite at my computer screen if it would do some good!
I thought this was an independent investigation being paid for by MLB?

I don't know! I didn't want to read any of this crap! I do know our politicians think they can tell the MLB how to manage their league.

That was pretty good.
This is definitely small fries compared to the amount of players in the NFL using them.

You're clueless if you think the NFL is clean of steroids.

Yes, FORMER Sen. George Mitchell headed up the investigation. He made big bucks from MLB over the 20 months of investigations that produced a 409 page (.pdf pages) expensive, anti-climactic piece of literature.

Lots and lots of stuff a lot of people already knew. No big surprises really.

It was a joke. Romanowski took steroids. Ray Lewis takes steroids. That guy is an animal on the field. He has roid rage every 2 seconds. He even shot a guy. Romanowksi abused his wife.

But everyone knows noone takes steroids in wrestling.
professional sports are a joke in many ways.
