Why does everybody only talk about Boston like this? Look at Detroit right now, the Tigers, Red Wings & pistons are all championship quality as well.
Detroit & Boston definitely the 2 top cities with the most chances to win a title right now.

Detroit voted top sports city in the US for 2007.

I think most people just try to not think of Detroit at all.

(jk, no I'm not)

Boston gets all the attention because we're making the headlines. Red Sox won the championship, patriots are undefeated (going to win the super bowl), and the celtics have the best record in the NBA(and should win the finals).

the red wings? what are they some type of professional figure skating team?

Apparently you've never learned the hard way of talking smack about your team when they haven't won shit yet.
& the figure skating team if any would be the Bruins, what a joke.

Hey don't knock hockey man. As good as the Celts are, and as much as I love playing basketball, I have a hard time sitting through an NBA game as it's so incredibly boring. Hockey is so much more fun to watch and I've never even played the sport.

Plus the Bruins are exceeding expectations so far

And Stones, why are you basing your argument on a vote that was taken in July? How convenient of you to leave that piece of info out

How does that change anything? Should i have mentioned it wasn't taken yesterday?
Boston may win it next year but it won't be easy to top Detroit since they will have 3 legit teams competing for a championship AGAIN.

Really? Because i'm tired of hearing from the biased ESPN network reporting on this nearly every single day? If that makes me ridiculous then oh well.
The only thing you see on ESPN nowadays is about the Celtics & the Patriots, it's really becoming pathetic.

Probably because a Boston team won a championship between now and then.

It's like looking back on the week 3 college football rankings, and then using that to determine who's in the national championship game.

Thank goodness there's a stop button on that video.

Because you implied that it has something to do with what's happening now or any season that started in 2007 which it does not in any which way. You argue why is Boston getting all the attention NOW then bring that vote up. Give me a break.

You can try to weasel your way out of it but we all know what you were trying to do.

Biased ESPN? Are you fucking kidding me? How biased was ESPN during the whole the spygate fiasco? How biased has ESPN been during the whole running up the score BS?

You think they don't ball wash the Colts more so than the Patriots or the Yankees more so than the Red Sox? Go back to your hole.

And oh my god, the Patriots are getting a lot of air time now because they're on the verge of making history. How dare ESPN!!! They should talk more about the Lions collapse, that would be much more interesting!

I have a hard time with this one.

I just moved to Boston and I absolutely love the culture here- everything from my research to sports. My problem lies with the latter- more specifically hockey. I have always loved the Red Wings- well since Stevey 'Y' started, yet I love all the other teams in Boston. I guess I can cheer for two teams...although, I admit I haven't been keeping up too much since I've moved here.

On a side note, this city has to be one of the best I've ever lived in.

I was so happy when Boston College got spanked and when their soccer team lost to Houston. I am going to be more happy when the Colts come back and get the Patriots in the playoffs though
