I hate these shows, Im one of those people who doesnt think singing is a talent. Same with Americas One Hit Wonder show, if it wasnt for all the morons who think they can sing that show would be worthless.

Im with Eddie Murphy, when he was driving Ray Charles somewhere he said singing doesnt impress him, he told him, you want to impress me Take the wheel.

sorry, dont think it is, half the time I dont think these people are singing very well.

Anyone, and I mean anyone can and most of the time during their life will sing. Theres no skill involved in singing, you just do it. Get a voice coach and Im sure you will be on MTV at some point singing some sappy crap that only tweeners will love.

My issue is the people on these shows that do have talent normally get overshadowed by the singers. Someone who can shoot a playing card in half sideways with a pistol from 100ft away quick drawing loses to the crappy ass singer.

I think to be fair, there should be a showdown, the sharpshooter should have to sing something and the singer should have to shoot the card in half. Oh wait, that wouldnt be fair to the singer since EVERYONE CAN SING!

umm anyone can, does anyone watch Made? my GF loves that show. They took 2 people who couldnt sing to save thier lives (voice cracking, no beat etc) sent them to a voice coach, had celebrity singers come and help them, and by the end they could both sing 10000x better than before.

And I still think that the guy who can shoot the card is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more talented than some schmuck who can remember all the words to an Nsync song

but to even it up I dont think the music I listen to is singing talent. I think the people who play the instruments are talented, but not the singers.

Guns and Roses, Metallica, Skid Row, Motle Crue, Led Zepplin, Ozzy, Bon Jovi, etc.

Modern would be Linkin Park, Poets and Pornstars, Rob Zombie, Black Label Society.

I go back and forth from the modern rock to the old stuff. I even have a few Blues and Jazz CDs. I dont do the thrash metal or screaming metal.

Janis would be tough, Celine would be tougher. But frankly, this is mimicking, not using her own voice to sing a song and it pains me to see kids singing a particular song when they don't even understand what they're singing about. Her mother should be ashamed of the song choice.

We had the same thing in Australia...
