I think my favorate Thanksgiving side dish has to be mashed potatoes and gravy. I know it's not fancy, but damn. It's so perfect!

My 2nd favorate side dish would have to be fruit salad. So refreshing and with shredded coconut it has a perfect bite.

It's a tie between Green bean casserole and sweet potatoes. Both are great.

A close second would be stuffing with gravy, which is the only way to eat it.

The fruit salad is the only thing that I am allowed to be in charge of because even a terrible cook like me cant mess it up.

Using an immersion blender (a "stick blender"), whip them as you add 1 cup of regular or heavy cream (your choice), 2-3 (depending on how rich you like it) tablespoons of butter, and 1.5 oz of Amaretto.

Serve.

This is the best thing you'll ever eat.
