I'm sure this is old news here but they've been pumping it out on all the networks lately. So basically a 13 year old girl goes on myspace with her moms permission. A cute boy starts talking to her for a month. Then he begins to be a dick with her. She hangs herself. Then the parents find out that it was one of her former best friends parents pretending to be the boy to some how spy on their daughter or see if the girl was saying bad things about her. Obviously the parents want legal action against the other parents.

Now i believe it isn't 100% the parents(of former friend) fault that this girl committed suicide. Also it is ultimately her choice but some how those fuckers should pay. Its so fucking dirty what they did. Granted some blame lies on the mother for even allowing her daughter on myspace... its still just so fucking rotten what happened.

Wait, what?

just watch the vid. I wasn't an English major.
That was absolutely awful! I guess you can kill someone by being a stupid asshole after all.
They shouldn't be completely responsible for her death, but partially responsible? Certainly.

As an adult you should know better than to mess with the emotions of a 13 year old like that. What they did was absolutely idiotic and they should absolutely face some consequences for their actions.
This sounds almost as ridiculous as the chain letters people send out...

In certain, extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue - natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No, not vengeance. Punishment.
Yeah if it was the daughter's friend it would be different but an adult doing this is pretty fucked up and pathetic.

There was a whole news article about this on CNN last week. The REALLY messed up thing about this is, the parents of the daughter that died was holding a Fooseball table for the parents that pulled the "prank". After their daughter hung herself, and they found out it was their neighbor's fault, they took a chainsaw to the Fooseball table, and dropped it off in pieces on their lawn.

The owners are suing for damages to their Fooseball table.

How classy is that?

"Oppsss, sorry 'bout your daughter. It was just a prank!"
*chainsaw revs on Fooseball table*
"You SOB! You ruined my Fooseball table! I'm calling the police!"

RU Fucking serious? Wow man that is jacked up! I'd probably murder them in all honesty. Yeah that lawsuit regarding the table might just put me over to kill those people if it was my family member. That is the type of shit that gets people killed.

i heard about that too. I honestly have no clue how the father just doesn't go over to the other father and just start pounding on him. I don't even see how it is considered a prank. Its just some fucking sick idea to manipulate a teenagers emotions into giving out information. To bad myspace doesn't care about people entering false information. Hell i wish they could some how get charges against the parents for allowing a 13 on the site then some how prosecute the other asshole parents for basically entering false info.

Actually, they never apologized, they said they didn't feel "fully" responsible because blah, blah, blah."

What a load of shit.
Everybody in the neighborhood wants to dismantle their house, trash it, basically make them feel unwelcomed in the neighborhood, but the family doesn't want them to do it only because they don't want the cops to think they did it themselves.

Sad thing is, the mother is a real estate agent, and sold that home to that other family.

The other family knew prior to this that the girl was emotionally unstable as well.

I'd send that Shotgun guy from Texas over to their house and whisper in his ear that they are robbing the house.
What these people did was despicable but like they say in the video "There was no crime committed".

Having said that, a wrongful death civil suit is possible. Then again, I am not a lawyer.

I mean, the girl was obviously unstable so for the defense in a civil suit, that is the way you go. If you are the plaintiff's lawyer, since you don't need hard evidence, they could play on the sympathy part of it and they could get a judgment.

I would sue fo sho!!!

If this is true would that constitute some sort of crime?

that opens a whole can of worms...

If internet harassment constitutes a crime... then everyone here would've been guilty in some way of committing it.
Whether to "tea-bag" some n00b in an FPS or gank a lowbie in an MMORPG... that's harassment.

Not to mention all the fun we poke at each other here.

Why you haRASSing, yo?

The TWL GF would be closed down.
PATRIOTIC DISSENT IS A LUXURY OF THOSE PROTECTED BY BETTER MEN THAN THEY.
Normally I'd just say the other family was just a bunch of assholes and nothing legal should really happen to them. But if they knew the girl was mentally unstable, then deliberately playing mind games with her is criminal. Not murder, but criminal negligence or a little more severe seem more on order.
