I think I am doing pretty good considering I don't really care for football, the only games I watch are colts playoff games.. so up until last year, I wasn't actually watching much football.

Colts had made the playoffs like 4 or 5 years in a row before last year I think.
ROFLMAO, Detroit has a new game plan for Devin Hester.

Hester returned a kickoff 97 yards for a TD and averaged 19.0 yards on five punt returns in their last game, so here's Marinelli's plan.

After watching Devin Hester run wild against his team Sept. 30 in Detroit, Lions coach Rod Marinelli has devised a surefire plan to contain the Bears’ All-Pro return specialist.

“I thought if we went out and worked really hard trying to kick the ball into Lake Michigan and make sure it floats to the bottom,” Marinelli said in advance of Sunday’s game at Soldier Field.

Devin Hester strikes a pose after returning a kickoff 97 yards for a TD Sept. 30 in Detroit.
Informed of the comment, Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub joked that “we’re going to put in our speedboat left return.”

Source
Source: Parcells could be in Dolphins mix

If Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga decides to make significant changes this offseason, don't be surprised if Bill Parcells surfaces as a top candidate to help in a resurrection of the 0-7 team.

While such change is purely speculative and premature at this time, a source close to Parcells said it's completely logical.

"It makes a lot of sense that the Dolphins would be a job he'd be very interested in if it came open," a source close to Parcells said Friday. "But only as the GM. I don't think he'll ever coach again."

Huizenga told The Miami Herald last week he is not only unhappy with the state of the team this season, but that he would have the team conduct "internal self-studies" before he made decisions on the future of both general manager Randy Mueller and first-year coach Cam Cameron.

Huizenga expressed his unhappiness again earlier this week at the NFL fall meetings in Philadelphia. However, Huizenga said he hadn't spoken with Parcells since playing golf with the former coach in the spring at Huizenga's private course, The Floridian, in Stuart, Fla.

Ok so Huizenga plays golf with Bill Parcells and Parcells is kinda interested in their GM job AND current GM Randy Mueller sucks big time...

Hmm...

Well uh...yeah. Why not let Parcells give it a go? Of course Wayne could just hire someone who really knows what the fuck he's doing. Yeah he could do that...

No...no....he should hire Parcells and pay him $1-$3 million per year...

Hey if Parcells were in charge I think he could guarantee at worst a 2-14 season...the current GM can't do that...yet...

2nd and 34, GO GIANTS!
Forward down the field,
A charging team that will not yield.
And when the Blue and Silver wave,
Stand and cheer the brave.
Rah, Rah, Rah.
Go hard, win the game.
With honor you will keep your fame.
Down the field and gain,
A Lion victory!

Been awhile, that is for sure. NO matter what happens here on out, with what he is doing with the personnel he has in the secondary, I hope coach Rod "In Rod We Trust" Marinelli is here a looong time. He gets the absolute most out of marginal players.

I've always believed this, all players are capable of winning, they are all pros. It just takes the right & proper coaching to instill a attitude of winning, discipline, & playing every second of the game as hard as you can.
If you can do that you can win with just about anybody.
& Rod has managed to do that so far.

Detroits front 4 is HUGE, they are impressive, & because of them passes are always hurried & it makes for alot of turnovers & they are a big reason they lead the nfl in forced turnovers.

DO you mean huge as in physical size? Because really, aside from Shaun Rogers the friggin freak of nature, they are quite small. They are just really disruptive and starting to buy into Rod's gap control-style cover two defense. Go Lions!

I meant huge as in they come up huge all the time. They are a huge factor in the games, they put alot of pressure on the qb.
Nobody on their D is massive in size except for Rogers of coarse.

The Redskins are only down 52-0. They aren't out of it yet!
The Pats are freaking scary right now. It is crazy.

BTW another Win for Buffalo We swept the Jets this year Muah ha!
Next week will probably be the first time ive ever rooted for Peyton Manning.
You know, I sided with Belicick last week when he said they weren't running up the score, but this week's game was just bullshit. If I were the Redskins, I'd go straight for Brady's knees.

You don't go and pull that kind of crap. Shutting out your opponent by 40+ points and you're still passing and going for it on 4th down.

Classless.

If all I heard for a week after the whole stupid overblown taping signs scandal was "Were the Super Bowl victories tainted" or "are they really that good", I would go Steve Spurrier for 16 games as well.

and going for somebody's knees is not classless?

i dont understand how you can say 'this is classless' yet say that you would go for a season ending injury tackle.

fascinating.

It's hyperbole and if it wasn't, it wouldn't be me doing the knee clobbering. It would be Jeff Gilooly or one of the Redskins.

And why do you think he's doing it?

It's just Bill's way of giving the league and the media a big fuck you. We're the classless cheaters that needed sideline video to win.

Who cares anyway. They could have kicked a field goal and left more time on the clock, or given the Skins a chance to stop them.

I honestly think he's trying to get Brady the TD record too.

Well shit. I completely respect that, so if it was that, at least come out and say it. Have the balls to say, "We're going to set an NFL record for points. That will show you how little we needed that video. blah blah"

Probably, and I can respect that.

But it looks bad when you don't have a reason. At least last week's explanation made perfect sense, but come on. Up 41-0 and you're going for it on 4th down? Lame.
"Hey you're beating us too bad. Stop it."

A football game lasts 60 minutes. If one team wants to give up after 10, thats their business. In my opinion, the patriots are justified in scoring as many points as they feel like scoring.

Wow, I just realized that Tom Brade, in only 8 games, has crushed his personal record for TD passes in a season. It was 28 I think. Now it's 31.
Only one side can prevail in any conflict. Crush them, mercilessly.

PATRIOTIC DISSENT IS A LUXURY OF THOSE PROTECTED BY BETTER MEN THAN THEY.

Actions speak louder than words?

I noticed Gibbs wouldn't even shake Bill's hand after the game. He pouted and ran off the field. Now that's classy

Not necessarily.

The more I think about it, it's not necessarily classless, but it sure shows a huge lack of sportsmanship.

Nobody respects that sort of attitude. When we're up by 15 runs in our softball games, before the 5th inning when the run rule takes effect, we never take more than 2 bases and to not make it obvious, out of respect, if we're trotting into second and the fielder hasn't gotten the ball, we slowly jog to 3rd. It kind of says, "hey, we're doing good, but we don't want to rub it in since we know we're going to win anyway."

I would have just run the damn ball and wound down the clock. That's been the standard in the NFL for decades.
I think Bill IS running the score up on everybody & i think he better watch out what he's doing, because somebody is going to go after Brady & it's all because of Bill.
Bill will be the cause if Brady gets hit. Classless or not, somebody will.

That is if anyone can even get near the guy, seems like he never gets touched in every game he plays. Rarely gets sacked or anything. Someone would have to put up a late hit, but make it count and get fined for it. That is the only way.
