I'm hungry.

Who here's a cook? Let's swap some recipes about? I'm darn good at making a peanut butter & jelly sandwich but that about sums up my greatness in the kitchen

Can I have a spicy thai tofu mix?

Go Green! http://www.greenpartyus.org

I make a great beef Stroganof (cant spell it though) and my chili is the bestest
I can fix a pretty mean bowl of cereal.
My dad taught me a secret back in the day, the perfect way to make any sandwich.

Procedure:
1) Make *any* sandwich you want.
2) Add any sort of chip to it you want. (Cheetos work real nice, but I like to change it up based on my mood).
3) Eat and be happy.

You guys can thank me later.

'How to make the best Chili in the world'
by Dru

Cook 1/2 pound ground beef with garlic and onions
pour 2 cans of pinto beans into a pot.

Pour the beef, garlic, and onions in with the beans and add a can of tomato paste and water.

(here is the secret) add about 1/3 can of Rotel Extra Hot tomato bits and some Jalapenos (if you are brave use habanero)

Then as it cooks add chili powder and a few dashes of Cumen (about one dash cumen to 3 dashes of chili powder).

Cook for a good long time until water begins to cook off. Then grab a few pinches of flour and stir it in until it becomes thicker.

Serve with crackers.

I know it doesnt have exact measurements but I always just add and taste...repeat.

PUNCH & PIE!!!

Dru that sounds like some good grub I chili

I'll be BBQing some salmon tonite.

/me slathers in chili

Folks, gotta do what Dru did... give actual recipes for things... such as BBQ Salmon... or making a cheese omelette... We need to create a TWL Fancy Foods Cookbook

it's a lazy mans recipe but it works for me.

2 lbs. ground round or ground steak, and flank steak cut into 1/2 inch cubes.
1 med. onion minced
1 can ro-tel diced chilis and tomatoes
2 lg. cans bushs' baked beans w/onions
1 sm. can black beans
i pkg. williams chili seasoning or favorite pre mix for 2 lbs. meat.
2 garlic cloves minced
1-2 tomatoes chopped
brown meat in a skillet w/ olive oil and toss whole works into a crock pot the night before.
wake up and enjoy all day. great on eggs w/sour cream.

i like to toss it on a big plate full of my favorite tortilla chips cover w/green salad and sour cream garnish w/avacodo. salsa optional. a truly magnificent "taco" salad

Eggplant Lasagna.. trust me, it is wonderful

1 large eggplant sliced, lightly breaded with flour and cooked down. (remove the eggplant skin is optional
1 large jar marinara sauce
2 Yellow squash
2 Zuchinni (sp?)
1 small jar pearl onions or .5 sliced onion

1 package romano cheese
1 package provolone chees
1 package mozzarella cheese

Layer the squash, eggplant and zuchinni, and onion in three layers between "sheets of cheese".. cover the entire thing with the marinara.

Cover the entire thing with a layer of unsweetened cornflakes. Finally, cover the cassarole dish with aluminum foil.

BAke at 350 until the marinara is bubbling (around 40 mins). Take away the foil and bake until the cornflake crust browns.

Enjoy!!!!

Beef Strogenoff

1-3 pound beef (steak) slice and fry with onions, garlic, mushrooms, and worcestershire sauce

When the meat is cooked add in:
1/3 cup of water
3 cups of sour cream
3 tblspn of tomato paste
pinch salt
pinch pepper
paprika

Cook until thick, if it is still a bit running ad a pinch or 2 of flour to thicken.

Boil flat buttery noodles to server it on top of and eat like a starving Russian.

I make this sometimes and its is yummy.

That Lasagna sounded great up till the corn flakes though I wouldn't jdge it till I tried it

keep it coming folks, this is great stuff I think I'll try one of these over the weekend

very VERY GOOD! *like* redlobsters buscuits. just don't go overboard on butter, but plenty of spices'll do. from allrecipies.com:

Ingredients

4 cups baking mix
3 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/3 cups water

1/2 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon dried parsley
 Directions
1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2 In a mixing bowl, combine the baking mix, cheese, and water. Mix until dough is firm. Using a small scoop, place dough on the prepared pan.
3 Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
4 Combine the melted butter, garlic powder, salt, onion powder and parsley. Brush over baked biscuits immediately upon removing from oven.

Notes:

Baking mix is a common item in most American grocery stores (the most common brand is "Bisquick"), but is relatively unknown in other countries.

I know it sounds odd, but man, will it suprise you!! very pleasantly too!
Recipe for a Thai Spicy Pad Ped:

1. Go to nearest Thai restaurant and order Spicy Pad Ped.
2. Order it spicy -- 8 stars (the menu only goes up to 4 stars)
3. when the waitress asks "are you sure?", respond with "yes, if it doesn't make me cry, I will be disappointed"
4. while you are eating your meal, wave to the chef who has emerged from the kitchen to see what fool could possibly be eating the dish he just sent out.
5. Feel the burn.
6. Immediately after the meal, go to the nearest ice cream store and eat ice cream. It doesn't matter if you don't like ice cream (I don't) and it doesn't matter what kind of ice cream it is. It just matters that it's cold and it's ice cream.
7. Go home and wait for the inevitable.
8. In a few hours, when your stomach starts rumbling, run to the toilet and sit down (making sure to displace articles of clothing that are relevant to the task at hand).
9. Feel the burn for the second time.
10. As you are experiencing the pain, repeat to yourself "come on ice cream, come on ice cream, come on ice cream".

Too many steps in these recipes. If it's more than 1) spread jelly on one slice of bred 2) spread peanut butter on the other 3) mash two slices together
it's too confusing.

BTW Phierce, that was seriously, seriously disturbing. I'm gonna go heat up some pizza now.
