computer fans, exhaust or intake?

I was planning on making all my fans exhaust, I mean I am trying to get the heat outside, right?

Right now I have 2 front fans that are intake, and the rear fan at 4000rpm that is exhaust. My processor temp is around 49°C and system temp is around 40°C.

To me that is pretty hot. I am planning to get a new heatsink+fan to replace this current one because it sucks(read reviews from people that also have the problem). MBM reads the heatsink+fan speed is going 1800 rpm, but the bios reads it going 3000rpm. I"m leaning toward MBM's side because it makes sense why my processor is hot.
YOu need intake and exhaust for it to work properly. You have to have flow for cross flow to cool your system. If you blow all the air out, where are you drawing it in at?

I have two in the front of my case that intake for the system. I have them running at full speed. I then have 3 exhaust fans that are thermally controlled as well as the PS fans. The idea is that you draw cool air into the system and blow the hot air out. Same principle as heating is, draw cold air into the HVAC, blow the hot air out the vents.

Ya I had that thought to, but it was worth asking about .

My front 2 case fans are stock and they are HELL to take out. I'm probably going to get a new case next year since this one sucks .

Anyway, what about my processor problem, should I believe MBM or the bios? And yes, the bios is updated.
40c isnt a prob, however go liquid coole if you want better.
i dont really understand how liquid cooling works... how does the water cool it all down if its in a tube? anyways i have 5 fans.. 2 in the back, 1 on top, 1 in front and 1 on the side panel. when u stick your hand in there it feels like a kansas tornado! heh

Ummmm... I wouldn't ask that around here.
If you don't want to pay for an OS, try Linux.

Buy a legit OEM, its worth it. If you plan to be a system builder you need to include a legal copy with each system you build.

Rul of thumb (Which I'm sure has already been stated) in from the front, out through the back. If you have a fan on the side, like in a window, it should blow out so it's not working against your CPU fan. Fans on the top should blow out (Heat rises anyways)
As far as warezing XP, just don't do it. It's your operating system, if there's one piece of software that's the most important to own, it's your OS. There's a certain amount of satisfaction and security and owning a legit copy of your operating system.

o. I dunno if my fans are blowing in or out. I didnt check, they came installed already. How do you get the fan speed to work, as well as the temperature for the case.

each fan has 2 molex plugs but i definatly dont have enough molex left in psu to plug both in.

Most fans will allow you to piggyback the connectors with something else.

Also, those temps are fine. You didn't specify what kind of processor. I'm running a Northwood 2.8 HT with a Thermaltake Spark 7 running around 2800RPM. My numbers are in the 40C range under load. I used Artic Silver paste between the sink and processor.

Add a Type R badge and you can get another 50 horsepower out of that. Add another 10 hp if your case is yellow.

Oh wait... that's not a car you're describing? :o

Didn't I e-mail you something like 2 weeks ago?
well, i took a look at that and was lost. I have no clue how to do that stuff..

I forgot to mention that my ram and processor are underclocked.

My ram is at 333 mhz and processor at 2500 speeds.

Ram should be 400mhz and processor should be at 3200. My computer would shut down at random times when I had them at normal speeds.
budget ram bought online? that stuff is like buying mechanics tools at an outlet store. I been buying PNY everything lately because they make taking them up on their lifetime warrantys painless. My friend returned a videocard 2 years after he purchased with no questions asked.
