I have played many games with you and some I have not. My in game name is {SkyDiver} To those of you that do, I want to share with you about our child.
Patrick Job Watkins was born prematurely on June 27, 2004 at 11:04 am and passed away at 12:25 pm. Against all known odds and against all medical opinions, our child by all rights was to be still-born. By Some miracle allowed us to feel our childs hearbeat and breathe for at one hour and 21 minutes until he went to our Lord. During his time Patrick was able to show emotion such as crying, he smiled, grabbed my finger and opened one eye to briefly look at us before he went to sleep in my arms. He will be buried this Wednesday, June 30, 2004. He will be laid to rest in a place called BabyLand. We felt this was the mst appropriate place for Patrick to rest so he will always have a friend next to him to play during times that we can not visit him.
Trisomy 13 and Osphalomy is a genetic disorder that occurs in about 1/5000 births. We were the unlucky straw. However, we also feel that at least for the next 5000 births, 5000 parents are going to be able to have a healthy baby and that is a blessing and a great feeling as well. We all go through times but never shun a miracle. For if miracles were not true, we would of never been able to see our baby.
God bless and thank you. We ask that any of our friends or supporters to please bear the tag -=PJW=- on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 for a 24 hour period.
God Bless you all and thank you
Allan and Patty Watkins

May G_D bless your child until you join together with him, until you are able to again be with him for eternity.

amen
bless you, as a couple...and may you have rest now, from this experience, so you can continue life anew.

I don't say this often so pay attention: Listen to Aria.
While I can't think of the words, this song comes to mind. My thoughts are with you and your significant other.

****************
We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment,
We are choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside
This holy reality, this holy experience.
Choosing to be here in

This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal
All this pain is an illusion.

Alive, I

In this holy reality, in this holy experience. Choosing to be here in

This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal
All this pain is an illusion.

Twirling round with this familiar parable.
Spinning, weaving round each new experience.
Recognize this as a holy gift and celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing.

This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. Remember. We are eternal.
All this pain is an illusion.

God Bless
What a touching story... I can't imagine a more beautiful 21 minutes in one's life. Truly a miracle and a blessing albeit a short and ironically unfair one. God bless you & your family and may the Lord make a special seat in heaven for little Patrick Job Watkins. Your faith & devotion to God is touching and your understanding reminds me of what love really means.

You & yours will be in my prayers tonight.
Dont know ya at all. And, probally never will. But I feel sad for your loss. God Bless your family and take care.

Heartfelt story. Amazing how you feel about believing that 5000 other babies will be born and for you not the be selfish and scream "Why me?!". I can only imagine how you and your wife felt. My prayers are with you.

Almost one year ago, my brother lost his daughter after 20 days. She was born 6 weeks premature.

Funeral services for children are the absolute worst you should ever have to attend. You and your family will definately be in my thoughts tomorrow.

i'm glad you were able to spend what little time you had with your baby.

My condolences to you and your wife. It is tragic that the gift of life is one that comes with no assurance, the ultimate compensation you can achieve in life comes with the gratification that there will always be people who will love and cherish you long after your passing.

Wow.

I didn't expect to come in to work today and get all choked up.

Having experienced - from the father's perspective - 5 miscarriages, I can certainly empathize to a small degree what you have experienced. Unlike you, however, I never got to hold my children.

I am very thankful that you have at least a brief memory of him before his life was taken from him. Much and well-wishes to you and your wife.

For what it's worth, my religion (if anyone turns this thread into a religious debate, you will receive a 2-for-1 special on bans for violating the sanctity of this man's grief) is celebrating a Service for the Departed this Sunday, as we do three times every year. I will be sure to pray for your child if you will allow me to do so.

Sorry to hear for your loss. I too have seen a child die. There's nothing worse.

He entered the world without sin, and left the same. He's in a better place now.
to you and you family man
Thank you for sharing your loss. It seems weird to be saying "thank you", but you have shown that in a time of crushing grief you are able to raise your head. My most heartfelt condolences to you and your wife. May God speed his mercy.
