Scheduling Rules

****IMPORTANT*****

AS TWL SCHEDULER FOR YOUR CLAN, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CORRECTLY SCHEDULING YOUR CLANS TWL MATCHES. THE BLAME WILL FALL UPON YOU IF YOUR CLAN HAS TO FORFIET BECAUSE YOU DID NOT READ THIS ENTIRE THREAD AND FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS.

SIMPLY FOLLOW THESE STEPS:


STEP 1:

Get in contact with the clan you are matched up with in the TeamWarfare Ladder (TWL). You need to agree on five things.

(1) Day and Date of match. (Example: Friday 5/16/03)

(2) Pick a time slot for the above date (Time slots = 6:30,8:00,9:30,11:00) All times are EST.

(3) Decide on a password for your match. (It should be short and in lower case letters.)

(4) The map the defender chooses.

(5) The map the attacker chooses.

STEP 2:

One of the the CLAN SCEDULERS involved in the match needs to make a post in the WEEKLY TWL SCHEDULING thread. The post should contain the names of the clans participating and the three pieces of information agreed to in STEP 1.

IT SHOULD BE WRITTEN IN THIS FORMAT EXACTLY:


Who - ]M[ vs INC
When - FRIDAY 5/16/03
Time slot - 8:00
Password - jump
Defender Map - Avalon
Attacker Map - Beggar's Run


*Note: No other comments or posts are acceptable

A Ladder Administrator will add your information to the TWL MASTER SCHEDULE and also add the random selection of the tie breaker map.

- All server time slot scheduling will be on a first come first served basis.

- There are only 2 servers available for each time slot.

- All scheduling problems (Example: Other clan isn't being reasonable) should be taken up with a Ladder Admin.

GENERAL WARNING TO ALL SCHEDULERS:

As you can plainly see, having access to this forum gives you access to other ladder matches passwords for the week. At no time should these passwords be given to anyone for any reason. I am putting the trust in your hands. The penalty will be severe if clan matches are disrupted at anytime or you are linked to handing out passwords.

a few questions:

1 - Does this mean we don't need to go through the rules of the duel ladder? Resting days, challenging and that whole process. Also only being allowed to have matches with one clan at a time?

2 - Is there a deadline for the week's matches? Like the thursday at noon thing for the Tournament. Otherwise technically someone could post 5 mins before the match start, and expect a server.

1. These rules are for the CTF 8v8 Ladder. Similar to the dueling ladder a clan will challenge another clan. After settling upon a time using match comms or any other form of communication you will post the agreed upon time. Rest factors in because you will only schedule matches when you are challenged or challenging. During a day of rest you are not available to be challenged. And yes, you can only be involved in one clan match at a time.

2. At this point there will not be a specific deadline to get this matches scheduled. I'd like to use something similar to the 48 hour rule in the duel ladder... however I don't believe that's going to be feasible initially. Essentially I will be monitoring each match's scheduling progress and giving gentle nudges when needed. Unlike the GTT, we don't have a set week by week lineup. So we will attempt to be more fluid in our scheduling process.

This is going to be a work in progress... with all of us learning together what works best. We will adjust accordingly.

Im going to be away from the 6th to the 11th in the month of July what do i do about scheduling for my team?

Once we post in the thread with the appropriate info, how written in stone is it? If both teams agree to change the match times and such is it possible, is there a point to which it is not possible?

One thing that annoys me with the way Scheduling works.
The map side selections.
.Inc has repeatedly ended up with Inferno for map 1 and storm for the following two, and even though we have storm for the majority of the match, we have to play on inferno for the whole thing, because no one likes to switch teams mid match.
Why cant it just choose 1 Side for each team for the WHOLE match?
By the way .Inc has gotten Inferno side for the start of every single match we've been in here, and have had to play as Inferno for every single match we've played.
