League Rules & General Information:

  • Results and standings determines who you play the next week.
  • If you no show, you're removed from the league. YOU must request to be reinstated, we wont try to track you down.
  • You get 1 reinstatement, after that, you're gone completely if you don't show up again!
  • A no show win = a flat ten points (35.00) for team that shows up.
  • Rosters locked the night before your week 6 match.
  • League matches must be played on league assigned map, no switching.
  • Preseason play is not required.
  • Late team joins are allowed until September 20th, with the exception of keeping an even number of teams in the league to facilitate match scheduling.
  • No late join makeup matches. In the scheduling and points, you have time to still climb up the rankings.
  • League matches must be played on respective League nights or an earlier date if agreed in match comms. If both teams don't agree, then its default night.
  • Default match time is always 9:30 EST (TWL time) unless both teams expressly agree to change the match time in match comms.
  • UAC Anti-Cheat is to be running for all matches, it can be downloaded here
  • Each UAC Match ID is found in the web address of match rants.

  • Both teams need to post server info if possible. Being home or visiting team has no obligation to "provide a server or forfeit".
  • Home team will have server choice or can defer server choice for round 1 side selection. (if Home defers for side choice, and for some reason the other team has a server issue and the match must be moved to Home teams listed server, Home team retains Round 1 side choice)
  • Home team must announce in match comms at least 48 hours before match if they want server selection, or instead want side choice. They must give side/server they choose at this time also. If they fail to say anything, they waive the right to any choice.
  • Abuse of these regulations are subject to team punishment at the discretion of Teamwarfare.

  • Do NOT use the "Report Match" button. Report your match results in match comms to receive the points alloted.

*Example of How to Report Match Results in Comms
    Team A > Team B 3-1
    or Team A beats Team B 3-1

    Team A Takes 3 MComs
    Team B Takes 1 Mcom

Both teams need to do this in match comms

  • All league servers are required to be Streaming to PbBbns Check league stickies for FAQ located Click Here
  • Noone can play on 2 different teams, in the same league, at the same time, for any reason.
  • In the event there is an odd number of active teams in the league the team with the lowest points total that lost the previous week will either have a bye week OR if willing, be a standby if another team in that division has a no show.

    League Scoring Information:

  • The scoring system that follows is a balanced system that awards hardworking teams and will be implemented for Week one of the 4v4 SR League.

    Point Allocation:

    Win 4-0 = 15 points + MComs taken divided by 10 (example 4 mcoms taken = 15.4)
    Win 3-1 = 13 points + MComs taken divided by 10 (example 2 + 1 = 13.3 or 2 + 0 = 13.2)
Win 2-2 in OT = 11 points + Mcoms taken divided by 10
Draw 2-2 still tied after 3 OT. = 9 points flat
Lose 2-2 in OT = 7 points + Mcoms taken divided by 10
Lose 3-1 = 5 points plus Mcoms taken divide by 10
Lose 0-4 = 3 points plus Mcoms taken divided by 10

No show Win = 15 points.

    How you win:

Rounds WON and MCOMS Destroyed are different. You must play 4 rounds, twice as attacker and twice as defender. Post them separately in match comms to receive full points.

Attacking You must destroy BOTH Mcoms to win as attacker. Add the amount of MCOMs taken into your teams total for bonus points.

Defending To win a round as defender you must stop the attackers from taking BOTH MCOMs.

A detailed post on match play can be found here.

Play 4 Total Rounds! Attack and Defend Twice!!

    Scoring Scenarios:

    *Scenario 1 - Team X wins 4-0
    Winning Team X = 15 Points for Win + 4 Mcoms (4/10) = 15.4
Losing Team Y = 3 Points for Match Attendance

    *Scenario 2 - Team X wins 3-1
    Winning Team X - 13 Points for Win + 3 Mcoms (3/10) = 15.3
    Losing Team Y - 5 Points for Loss + 1 Mcoms (1/10) = 5.1

*Scenario 4 - Team X Ties Team Y in OT (Draw)
    Both Teams Receive 9 Points
*Neither team gets an Mcom Bonus because they tied in Mcoms taken in the match.

    *Scenario 4 - Team Y No Shows
    Team X points = 15.0 pts.
Team Y points = Team is removed from the league and placed in pending

    Over Time Scenarios
If tied in Rounds won after 4, whoever had the most MComs destroyed is the winner. If both had the same number of MComs destroyed, and same number of rounds won, you play OT. The same map for the league week is played.

Each team plays a side until someone gets an advantage, be it takes 1 Mcom and opponent takes zero, or you take 2 winning as attackers and opponent takes 0 or 1. MComs taken in OT round do NOT get added to your score.

If both teams take both MComs in OT, whoever does it the fastest is determined the winner in OT. (game summary shows round duration)

If both teams play 2 OT rounds and noone can get an advantage, match is considered a draw.
*Either both teams take 2 Mcoms OR Either both teams take 0 Mcoms in OT Rounds.

    Clarifications:

In the event of a no show, the team that attended gets ten (10.0) points because they "fought" the match uncontested.

All this is done to stop a noshow match from hurting a team. Realistically it doesn't alter their ranking beyond what they would have normally played because the match scheduling is based on rankings, it will self adjust.

A team that no shows gets removed from the league and immediately placed back to the pending queue. Admins will NOT persue them to reschedule. The team must contact the admin staff. If 1 week goes by and the status has not been changed, the team is removed from the pending queue. To rejoin the league, they will have to go through formal sign ups.

Contact an admin on IRC in #twl_bf on the gamesurge network or email BFNALeagues@teamwarfare.com with any questions.

So let me make sure I have this straight, to WIN a round as an attacker you have to get both MCOMS, to WIN a round as defender you must not allow either bomb. So how is the scenario below even possible?

    *Scenario 2 - Team X wins 3-1
    Winning Team X - 13 Points for Win + 3 Mcoms (3/10) = 15.3
    Losing Team Y - 5 Points for Loss + 1 Mcoms (1/10) = 5.1

Team X got 3 total mcoms, which means in one of the rounds they got both and "won the round". In their other attacking round they got 1 and as such did not win the round. Team Y only managed 1 bomb, which means Team X held Team Y to 0 bombs in one of the rounds and thus "won the round". Team X only won 2 rounds.

Team Y didn't win any rounds because it never got both bombs nor defended both.

Wouldn't this be "Team X wins 2-0".....3-1 is the bomb count, not the score based on your definition of rounds.

Why does every league have a hopelessly complex way of scoring this game????

No, a defender wins by stopping them from taking the 2nd Bomb or BOTH MCOMs. Attacker Blows MCOM #1, but NOT #2. That is a DEFENDER Round win.

    Team A Attacks - Blows BOTH MCOMs. - Team A Wins Round 1 (+2 MCOMs Team A)
    Team A Defends - Team B Blows ONLY 1st MCOM - Team A Wins Round 2 (+1 MCOM Team B)

    Team A Attacks - Blows ONLY 1st MCOMs. - Team B Wins Round 3 (+1 MCOM Team A)
Team A Defends - Team B Blows NO MCOMs- Team A Wins Round 4 (+0 MCOM Team B)

the score should be based off mcoms not rounds, maps, sides, or anything else. after playing attack/defense/attack/defense the score should simply be how many mcoms you scored vs how many mcoms the other team scored.

Anything else is just making things difficult for what reason exactly? If there is a reason behind this I am all ears but I can't think of one.

what happens if only one team gets 1 mcom the whole entire match. it should be 1-0 for the team who scored 1 mcom but from what I read your saying its 2-1?

Also how can you win 2-2 and lose 2-2?

Why are people getting points for attendance?

by doing this whacky scoring system you are going to be creating a lot of problems of people posting the results wrong. Last time you penalized teams who did this wrong which means you feel that posting the match results in your format is way more important than the match played itself. Hope this doesn't happen again.

Axion - I am trying to find one of my original threads but here are the reasons:

  • By using a point based system there is a separation between a blow out win and a win by the skin of your teeth. A win 4-0 vs a win 2-2 in Overtime

  • Points allow for clear and concise seedings for playoffs

  • Attendance Score - 3 points, encourages teams not to no show. Keeping them in contention if they had a bad week or were missing a key player.

  • I believe we didn't penalize more than 1-2 teams last season for incorrect reporting. Season 2 went very well weeks 3-8 without issue.

  • Also, I will join and talk with anyone on Vent/TS about this if requested.

I emailed teams about maps 3 weeks ago with no reply. What maps do teams want for playoffs?
    Bazaar, Metro, Tehran, Canals

    In any order.
