Scheduling Delays

Not to add to the complaining too much, but not allowing teams to play League matches AFTER the Thursday night default time is a little unfair if we don't know who we're playing until the day before the match. That makes it really hard to reschedule to earlier in the week... just saying...

I thought TWL was pretty strict on not playing matches any later than the assigned Thursday night time... You can only play earlier if everyone agrees. Which is impossible, since match time is 2 days away and we still dont have a schedule.

We are working on it.

Be patient with us just a bit longer.

Matches will be up in about 2 hours (once I am home from work).

THIS WEEK ONLY! EXTENDING TO FRIDAY FOR 4v4 MATCHES!

An email will be sent to all team captains.

#2. Are we going to expect this each week or is this a one-time thing that was caused by RL issues or something?

Oh man. I'm sorry, but that does not sound like a good idea.

Regardless of the actual schedule and point tally, everyone know's that match night is Thursday at 9:30. And it will always, consistently be Thursday at 9:30. What does giving teams an extra day actually do?

Also, how does this work? Are teams entitled to wait an extra day if only one team wants to hold off till Friday? Because I know my guys are ready to go on Thursday nights and probably wont be able to change.

One of the best parts about league play is the consistency. Why change? I think these are some legitimate concerns.

Ackbar is 2 fer 2 here...

He brings up good points... Fridays are no-goes for us as well... and if the other team insists on a Friday match date, and you're guys can't show... then wtf do we do?

I didn't think about that... thanks for bringing it up Ackbar...

I agree although this is all my fault (moved this weekend and comcast wouldn't start my service till Monday )

All teams should know there is always a match Thursdays at 9:30 EST

If a team can't play on the Thursday time, I believe it rests on them to have to forfeit if the other team doesn't agree to the rescheduled date. I understand trying to keep it consistent, but if both teams can agree on a day before Thursday, I don't see the problem in that. Again, this isn't an every-single-week kind of thing, but stuff is bound to come up over the multiple week period.

Yeah, it says right in the rules that if BOTH TEAMS agree to schedule it before Thursday, that's fine. But the rules also explicitly state that matches MUST BE PLAYED by Thursday night. Now we're saying that this week, we are allowed to play one day later.

But (serious question, cause it's written kinda vague) do we now HAVE to play on Friday if one team wants to delay it until Friday? I assume we do not. I just feel like it isn't even necessary to make that an option. Regardless of the circumstance, it should still be Thursday at 9:30 just like it always is.

I just got the email that cleared up that question. If BOTH teams agree, then it can be played on Friday. I cant imagine a lot of teams would do that, but whatever works.

I'll stop complaining now
