Inactive teams

We have just recently joined the league and have done only one match between the two ladders we are on. I have challenged multiple teams and keep getting auto forfeits because the team is not logging on to check their challenges.

Is there something that ladder admins can do to remove these teams that have 3 or more auto forfeits???
I find it absurd to have to challenge a team (that has a record and isnt brand new to the ladder) and wait 3 days for the inevitable forfeit win.

There should be more punishment for a team that fails to respond to a challenge OR a big incentive to teams that challenge a team and receive auto forfeit wins. As of now my team has had 3 forfeit wins and have gained absolutely nothing and have wasted at least a week and a half of matches because of this problem.

I believe it's because the game is dying, tons of people realize that the game is terrible or the lastest patch finally broke it.

The most active ladder it's the 4vs4 SQR imo.

Well it may take a year, but I guess we'll get an accept from a challenge.

Also, teams without a roster that fulfills the requirement of the game mode (teams signed up for 8v8 but has less than 8 on roster) should not appear on the team list.

Same issue. I think we've had three forfeit now and ihad to actually find the teamspeak info to go on and tell the other team to accept.

I'll be going through the 4v4 ladders and pruning this weekend.

People need to get the fuck off the ladders if they can't get their shit together. All I am saying.

would help if TWL can set something up and have a email sent to the team when a challenge is posted. Like Alienware.

If they aren't checking every other day for matches anyway, then they aren't that active and an email won't make a difference.

Washu, while blunt, has it right though. I had the standard 4v4 down to 100 teams, it's back over 130 now. If you make a team, stick around and play.

Although I am our team founder and DO check TWL site daily, I agree that an e-mail should be sent when a challenge is sent out. Most people these days have email sent to their smart phones and they are way more aware of their inbox.

Either way I check for challenges, but I am glad that you guys are taking this post seriously and going to be removing teams that are inactive and only have 1 member or something.

called this two months ago. minus the patch part, but it's pretty easy to predict that EA/DICE would fuck something up.

Its kind of ridiculous, look at my squads match history.....We have won 9 matches by admin forfeit....

Id like to actually get some match play in this league....

Here are a few helpful hints:

Look at your opponent's match history before you attack them.

Email the team you attack

Make a post in match comms right after they open.

Go to the team's website and look at their calendar or forums.

If we just start kicking teams because they might not be as active as you would like then it just becomes chaos. We have a system for removing teams and my staff follows it.

I dont doubt that your team follows your policies. I guess its just frustrating that our team joins a league expecting to get some competition, and all we get is 2 weeks of waiting....

My suggestion would be to reconsider your policies by having twl automatically send an email to the team founder to notify they are being challenged AND after a certain number of forfeit losses automatically making the team inactive.

I really think that would help, with teams that are starting in the bottom of the ladder that are not up where the more active teams are.

Well my pruning of the ladder this weekend got over-ridden by the wife's honey-do list. I will start removing teams Monday and knock out as many as I can at work this week.
