Best source for scrims

Hey fellas, back in the RtCW days everyone had IRC channels up and running etc....was easy to get scrims. Been out of the FPS scene for 8 years, what is the go-to source for finding BF3 scrims???? Thanks.
There have been about 100 posts where somebody asks this same question. But, yet another time, you can still find scrims in #bf3scrim on GameSurge in IRC and also on gamersportal.com.
Much appreciated.
honestly, there needs to be a sticky thread explaining how to find scrims. also needs to be a tutorial on how to use mIRC. The software itself is confusing to some.

It is stickied.

I thought I was being clever. :3
Sign your team up on http://www.gamersportal.com it has a very nice scrim feature, you post a scrim on whatever map you want, then other teams have 15 minutes to accept it. It's more active than IRC, although I use both. http://irc.gamesurge.net - #bf3pugs
as most everyone here said, just go to http://www.gamersportal.com/scrims a 2 minute video will pop up explaining how it works.

As jouninn pointed out, mIRC is confusing to some (nowadays, its most people). Check out Gamers Portal, its much simpler.

P.S Thanks for your support/help guys
GamersPortal is a nice feature and helpful to find scrims but in addition to looking there for scrims, the community needs to idle on IRC as well.

If you are using Chrome you can get the extension called Mibbit that makes IRC a lot easier for new users.
as far as idling in irc. dont do it. it pisses me off that there are 200+ people in an irc channel and i takes 30 minutes or more to get a scrim. if you dont want to scrim DO NOT JOIN a scrim channel. so if your an irc idler gtfo. that way when people join a channel and see there is 56 people in it they know that there is 56 people actively looking for a scrim not 55 ass gaskets idleing.

Well the results speak for themselves: it has not helped much has it?

It's just the way I, along with others, view things. I personally think IRC is a way of the past. All it is a group channel. All you have to do is look around and you will see the amazing advancements the web has undergone.

There is no point in "idling" in an irc channel, no point in having a service spread out for different groups across different networks (gamesurge, quakenet, etc).

Why not have statistics tracked, ease of use, complete gamer and clan profiles so that you can gain more information, and a lot more?

Anyway, apologies, I am not trying to turn this into a "IRC is dead" or "IRC isn't dead" "debate". I just believe the gaming community has outgrown such an archaic system, as the user numbers themselves are proof. Some people are just resistant to change, and there is nothing wrong with that. Please, continue to use whatever you are most comfortable with.

On a side note, happy new year folks

Options are nice, but gamers portal scrim is always my first stop.
