Server patch R7

Ummm, they auto-patched our TWL server, now we can't turn on All unlocks,unlocked. Anyone else have this problem?


We're now rolling out the required new R7 server update, all servers will restart.

This patch includes the following fixes:-

Fix for rubber banding
TDM/SQDM spawn point fix
2 crash fixes in end of round
Fix for connection problem when joining password protected servers
Removed 'vars.allUnlocksUnlocked'. Once ranked server settings are enforced, this may come back in some form.

They just restarted our server also and nuked our match settings. Can't set the unlocks like you said....

With this are we now able to have a locked server thats unranked? I'm thinking until we can officially unrank our servers that it won't allow us to enable all unlocks

It looks like the entire variable vars.allUnlocksUnlocked is now gone? Until "ranked server settings are enforced" meaning this variable might return when we have the option to unrank our servers?

So it seems right now the best possible match configuration might be:

-Ranked
-Passworded
-Only weapons available are those that you've unlocked


Hopefully this gets fixed

Our server is still running R6

Tried that and did nothing. vars.ranked false did nothing

I say we just play it with what youve unlocked for now...

We are working on a solution. Please be patient.

Side Note: Anyone constantly getting disconnected from servers atm?

what do do?? damn u dice and EA. we can play with what we have i guess as long as both teams agree, and screen shot it. is that artlight madchild?

some admin humor me for a minute and answer this for me. Do we, or do we not have to unlock weapons for for matches? I'm assuming this is an error.

R7 is being force pushed across most if not all servers as I type this.

This patch removes the vars.allUnlocksUnlocked option from Ranked servers. Obviously this has a huge effect on tonights matches

Here are the options:

1. If you've played already, and everything is good post results in match comms and admins will post your match for you

2. If your server is unpatched, get your match in right away.

3. If your server is patched, and you dont have access to all unlocks:

TWL is going to postpone the remaining matches this week until we decide how to proceed.

Sorry, but we didnt see this one coming....

You are supposed to allow all unlocks. Unfortunately, with the recent R7 patch that is no longer an option due to the Ranked issues.

Not your fault MadChild, worst timing in the world. Our server got patched to R7 (883137). Hopefully there's a long term solution.

For the teams that are having their game postponed, how will this impact the rest of the tourney in the near term? Are we still having those Thursday matches on canals?

We (RoM) didn't officially play against Synergy because of this server update. I don't know when we'll play.

All matches are postponed until further notice.

This is for every team, and includes Thursdays matches.

will we know by tomorrow if matches will be played on the following tuesday? Essentially postponing any leftover matches from today to next tuesday and thursdays matches a week?

this is not right teams that got to play now only need to focus on the up coming maps when other teams still have to work on metro. my team is one of those and has to play rvg and they are now only working on up coming match map when we are forced to still worry about metro

Stop, it is unfair for those teams still in the first round.

I doubt EA will release a server update soon that allows an unranked status for servers.

Delay the rest of the matches in round 1 and all of round 2 by a week? Means more time for people to unlock items and time to prepare for second round. The best scenario would have been this never happening so lets make a crap situation less crap.

What a great time to reseed all the teams like what was planned and let everyone go at it again. We lost first round to Phaze II. Not saying it would be different because their ranks were much higher than most of ours, but to give other teams that much more scrim time than others got is crazy. If it is going to be postponed that long, I say we should play the do-over....

You played, you lost. What is there to do-over? It's not like you had a chance in beating PII anyway.

My bad....did not mean to question your crystal balls. How is my suggestion any different than anyone else? And, we did have a chance....

Your point if I understand it correctly is:

because most teams will have had more opportunities to scrim before their first match than the teams that have already had their match, this is unfair to the teams that have already completed their first match even though all of their opponents will have had the exact same opportunities to scrim and there's nothing stopping the people who've already had their matches completed from scrimming?

Agree to it on match comms and it will be so.. You can agree to play Yahoo chess to determine the winner if you want too..Match comms are everything.
