We'll be streaming pub play, but really would like to focus on streaming the competitive scene of bf3 to help spread the word and really show how team oriented it is.

I'll probably be streaming when I pub the first week after release at least, since I took off work and figure people who didn't might want to check out the maps and unlocks that way.

Getting people to stream matches and scrims is a bit of a different story though. For one thing you never know who could be watching from the other team. And even if no one is watching live, you're pretty much giving up your strat to anyone who watches later.

while this is true - it also gives teams a way to look back and see what they did, how they could do better. without having to go into battle recorder and doing it themselves.

Regarding the other teams watching live, the delay is controlled. so you can make it longer, or even broadcast it post match.

We can record video without broadcasting it if we want to look back on our own stuff!

But I didn't know you can set up a configurable delay, that might work. No different than getting shoutcasted really.

lol, now everyone wants to stream. I always watch SC2 streams

is there going to be anyway to stream?

They said that they were adding Spectator mode to BF3 a long time ago.


I haven't seen anything related to it in the alpha or beta so it might turn out like BC2 where two guys just stand on a mountain and use binos.
