Anyone know where to change your config file? I heard you can change your FOV to 90 instead of default 70. @ work and don't know exactly where.

And what else can you edit in there to tweak.

Yes, you can change your FOV. But don't use Notepad to edit the file or it will break your game.
Where might the config file be located?
Docs/BattleField 3 Beta/settings

I doubt that. Just don't save it as a .txt file silly

Thanks
Step 1)
Go get a program called Notepad++ from here: http://download.tuxfamily.org/notepadplus/5.9.3/npp.5.9.3.Installer.exe

Step2)
Go to My Documents/Battlefield 3 Open Beta/settings
right click on PROF_SAVE_body, open with notepad++
Go to Line 3, and change the 70.00000 to 90.0000 and save the file.

Launch the game and enjoy a proper FOV
This is good info. I edited mine with notepad and had to redownload the game.

thats correct, if you corrupt it, you can just delete and it will re generate a new one.

This is why you HAVE to use Notepad++

Just make a copy of every file you want to modify first, and it will get you out of any trouble...

One very good reason why you should never, ever, have "Hide extensions for known file types" checked.
