We now know that Battlefield 3 and EA's digital download service are joined at the hip; even store-bought physical copies of the game will require PC owners to have an Origin account in order to play.
But another potentially disturbing possibility has come to light: that owners of the PC version of BF3 will be restricted to one, and only one profile within the game.

Battlefield community manager Daniel Matros has Tweeted that in BF3, 'your name is linked to your Origin persona.' So if, say, you want to enjoy the experience of levelling up your character a second time, or if housemates/siblings want to play the game on the same computer at different times, each instance will require another full-price copy of the game to be purchased.
