BC2 Hacks

Looks like there is a new teleport hack that just went live. have witnessed it myself its a pretty nice peace of work. Rumored to be able to kill mcons on command and take over server control. I personally have only witnessed the teleport and it was pretty easy to figure out who it was and ban them.

It appears to be an exploit in the game allowing people to do it so its a DICE issue and not PB. Its going to be a fun weekend.

On the plus side, at least there won't be a patch fixing this for at least three years.
Artificial Aiming's hacks are what killed AA3 for us. At least 2 clans were suspected of using it.

I have done a crap load of investigation into their hacks and the sad news is its not ever been detected by PB. NOT ONCE.

PB will never catch them only delay them. As soon as PB runs a new scan they kick out their members access to the hack and lock it until they figure out if PB is detecting them.

The only good news is the sad fucks are paying $20+ a month for their hacks.
I remember in BF2 when hackers could crash the entire server in seconds. Or the guys on karkand who would sit high on buildings and hit everyone with a PKM around a 64 man map. Eventually, we just made it into a game. See who could get the closest to the hacker before he killed you. Bonus points if you actually got hits on him and you win if you kill em.

Back to the bad aspect of hacking, is it actually against the EULA to hack? If so, shouldn't EA/Dice be taking legal action? I would think that would discourage more than random PB updates that at most annoy them and make them wait a few days before hacking again.
Almost as bad as Crossfire.

I hate hacks, but I can't help lol'ing when game devs screw up this badly.

On a side note... Helios' stuff does not have a very good rep when it comes to anticheat "proofness". Just look up the #50120 violations and you will see why...

dice is working on an update already.
from evenbalance;

[QUOTE=eversonj90;18488734]Unfortunately this appears to be a game exploit and therefore there's nothing we can do to detect it. If it comes about that a tool is being used to do this, then as soon as we obtain said tool we'll add a check in to detect it.

Hopefully DICE will address this urgently.

from dice around 24 hrs later.

[QUOTE=MikaelKalms;18499556]Server R22 is being rolled out. It is available with nearly every RSP; now it is up to them to deploy it to the server machines.

This is a minor security update, it does not affect features/bugs/performance of the game server.

We will publish details in a few days.

apparently their not 100% sure about it, but they believe it fixes the problem
looks like fun!
Great way to bring the enemy to you. Specially in rush mode when the attacking team is full of snipers who dont want to advance.

Francot...why post the hacker's video...the first 1 u posted. Just gives them more views & more of a reason to do it more
lol i found them hilarious
I thought the videos were hilarious. TBH if the hackers could figure out a way to pull only the snipers into one spot, Dice should offer them a job

Maybe rather than immediately shooting the cop in the head (since they wear vests), a better response would've been to tell the cop that he was placed under citizen's arrest. Once the cop resisted arrest, then he should've been shot.

there was a way on how to teleport in bf2 without hacks
I still cant understand how that teleport works, i think the hacks needs to modified some server files to do that.

Didn't that have something to do with unplugging and plugging back in your router really fast? Actually, I think that was FEAR, but I do remember something about BF2 doing this.
It utilizes the revive routine of the game client. Basically, reviving is just spawning a dead player at your coordinates. Your client should send a revive event to the server and the server should then calculate the correct coordinates and send them back. It seems that it's instead relying on coordinates calculated and sent by the client which is a huge huge fail. Clients should never have the ability to assign other clients' values, only read them.

Who remembers super manning on Berlin to the allied flag and taking it? Good times

The videos are funny, and they can't do it any more since the R22 version fixes the exploit. But you do have a valid point. We shouldn't encourage does dam hackers.
