I'm down to play this game.
OK, after playing the beta for a couple of days, I still like it. It kinda takes me back to COD2 in that the guns are side specific. I think the guns could use some tweeking though. The Rifleman & Spec ops guns (AK47, M16-Rifleman, AK74, M4-Spec Ops) have nearly no recoil. The sniper class starts off with semi-auto "marksman" rifles (m21 & ???) with a red dot. You progress to a "combat site", which is basically an acog with a dot instead of the ^ in the center. These guns are pretty good, for medium and close range. After that you get bolt action snipers with real scopes, but the mechanics of them are very strange. After you hit some one it takes a second for the kill to register, and it also takes a second before the reloading sequence happens. You also have to "steady/hold breath" with these rifles, and the sway before doing so seems very weird, and inconsistent. The sway issue might just be me being used to COD sway, and because of that this seems weird, but it seems to go up and down as well as side to side, randomly. Also it seems like when you line someone up during sway once you steady, it moves to the center of your screen and doesn't center on where the cross hair was. On the upside it seems like one shot kills almost always. I tried using the hollow point rounds last night and I think they degrade your range more than it is worth for the minimal extra damage. My other real issue is the grenades, noob tubes and rockets. The grenades do not go very far at all when you throw them, and the noob tubes as well as the rockets need to hit right next to someone to kill them. I am not looking to increase spam, but the damage does seem a little on the light side, and I would like to be able to throw a nade over the creast of a hill without it rolling back down and killing me. Also the fuse is way too short on the nades. If you throw it high, there is a 60% chance it will blow up before it hits the ground. Now there are several bugs(chat, key binds, server browser, etc.), and things that clearly point out that it is a port from console.(console d pad graphic on hud when you get kill steak rewards, and a TV screen adjustment setting in the options for two) But I think with the time they have left, it could be a very decent game. What I think I like most about it is the simplicity of it. No perks, or kill/death streak bonus choices, no medics, carls, repair tools, or ammo boxes, just guns and attachments. No martyrdom, last stand, or any of that crap....just guns, attachments, rockets, noobs, grenades and C4/ied. You can pick three things for your gun, the site(iron, red dot, combat scope), the barrel(silencer, laser range finder), and the ammo(extra mag or hollow point). It definitely takes me back to when games were simpler, without all the extra nonsense.

hmmm.. Does it have OBJ/S&D? anyone know?

Right now in the beta they only have two game types. The first is TDM. The second is called "Combat Mission", and is an objective based game type. It is similar to Rush in BC2, but only has one objective per "base". The interesting part is the objectives change from base to base. The first one is a road block you have to set an explosive on and blow up. The second you just need to hold a hilltop for a certain amount of time. The third is a comm station you have to blow up inside an enemy bunker. The forth is another road block you set explosives on. And the last one is an AA gun on a rooftop you again have to destroy with explosives. You start off with 120 "tickets" on the offensive side and every time someone dies you lose one. Once you complete an objective you get some tickets back, but I have not been able to figure out how many it is. It seems to vary, but I don't what it is based on. I have heard the release will have 4 game types, but I have no idea what the other two will be.

Wow...spotted a hacker already. I was playing the beta tonight and a guy went 164-11 in "Combat Mission". One shot killed me EVERY time he killed me. I guess BC2 hacks might work for MOH with it being the same engine. Holy crap do the semi auto snipers work well with an aimbot! LOL BTW, I left the game before they attacked the last base and that was his score. He was probably close to 200 by the end. LOL
