Read the sticky at the top of this forum. Should solve your problem. To summarize though, you can just delete those files. They are left over from 1.7 and are not used in 1.9

If it says there are extra files go to cprogram files\army operations\system and delete the extra files that CDC lists in the lower half of the window. If there are crc errors in two of the files then you need to install the optional client side patch. This can be found many places...I found it at AAfiles.com. If you do delete the extra files from your system drive you will have to re-enter your name in the ingame personel jacket. You will also have to reset and changes you made in your settings. Then your good to go
so why wouldn't the CDC server have the same files if they were left over from 1.7?

why should I have to delete files from the AA directory? I would really rather see an AA dev tell me it is ok than take the liberty to delete files off of my computer and not know whether there is a function to them or not.
It all has to do with how you installed 1.9 if you just simply used the add/remove programs button...It leaves fiels behind that you MUST manually delete BEFORE installing 1.9.... See the above forum topic for a CLEAR explanation and see where other people have been successful...
The CD Servers AA is always a full new install. Not an update install.
They only have what was installed from the setup package. No left over files.

If you run Cleaner.exe, it will add 5 files to your AA folder that have absolutely no effect on gameplay. They aren't part of a clean full install.
It is safe to delete the following files from your AA folder without interfering with your game.

-AGP_Security.u
-GSMSLibrary.dll
-MSVCRT.dll
-MSVCRTD.dll
-UTelnet.u

If you have these files in your AA\System folder, CDC will not let you play.

If you get a message that says you are missing 2 files;

-xinterface.u
-ipdrv.u

, you need to download and install the AA Bugfix Patch.

The bug fix takes like 2 minutes to download/install.

It is worth the time, it fixes issues.
