CDS 1.57 and AAO 1.9 - Discrepancies Found

When using CDS US Primary 1 and AAO 1.9 upon sweeping my system I get the following.

1. Client has AGP_CharModels.u in System folder but the server doesn't
2. Client has AGP_InvModels.u in System folder but the server doesn't
3. Client has IpServer.u in System folder but the server doesn't.

My other teammates had the same problem trying to load up.

Win XP Home SP1

Im getting the same thing. One folder has 50 files, the other has 47.

2 of our members had the same problem tonight.

On the suggestion of one of our senior players and a beta tester, I went into my systems folder and just deleted those 3 files.
CDC worked fine after that.

What is the impact on AO with the files deleted?

Those 3 files are part of AA 1.7 and not 1.9.
Deleting them will have no impact on AA 1.9.

Reason this happens: You didnt delete the AA:O 1.7 Folder, you just went to uninstall prog and then installed, gotta competely delete AA:O 1.7 folder

You could also install in a different folder.

I'm amazed you guys even got AA to load after the upgrade.

Most that I have spoken to got CRC errors and system instabilities regardless of CDC

i just installed over 1.7 and it works fine

I forgot removing former install and thus the old cleaner.exe was there so it was adding old files therefore my game crashed constantly! rofl

ok, i HAD removed 1.7 completely before i installed 1.9, but i had discrepancies as well.

-MSVCRT.dll
-MSVCRTD.dll
-UTelnet.u

After removing these files CDC did work. Bit strange though that i had to remove those files, since i had a clean install.

Those files aren't from a clean install. Those are from running Cleaner.exe.

This is something I'm working on now.
Who would think that Cleaner would actually "add" files and not just replace files.

I have a diffrent problem as well as another member of 11W with CDC and 1.9. It is that we use mutiple monitors on our computers and when playing matches with CDC 1.57 and AAO 1.9 the cursor goes off onto the second screen and when u click the mouse it minimizes AAO, it's a real drag because cause when it happens you are usually shooting and it leads to death. It dosent happen when I play AAO 1.9 without using CDC.

It's because it's just a self-extracting Winzip application, not a real app that the devs wrote to clean your system. All it does is unzip the default system files and overwrite any existing ones, not checking to see if the file it is writing even exists.

i get these errors

but 3 of them dont show up in the systems folder how can i get rid of them?

Do you have your Folder View set to show all files?

Open up the folder then goto the Tools-->Folder Options menu and click the View Tab.

Once you can see them all, you can safely delete them without affecting your game.

ok, i got more than just a few descrepincies...
my list was my entire systems file. What could b the problem there? i installed in a different directory when i got 1.9. my clanmate was having the same probs as u guys and when he fixed it he got pissed cause i couldnt figure it out

it tells me my CRC's dont match and it wont let me join the CDC server? any help?

i get all kind of errors and i have to reinstall americas army each time we have a match, this is cool

Which files? And is it consistently the same files?

the new patch did that i cant connect to CDC now after i updated the new patch

If your talking about that small one they just released, you should be OK once the CD Servers patch their AA's with it, which I think they've done already.

Nope, they didn't.

CDC says 2 Files are not ok

Primary CDS has NOT been updated yet.
Backup CDS HAS been updated.

yeah i got the same issues...CRC'S dont match xinterface.u/ and ipdrv.u ( what do i do it wont let me in, and i got a match in like 20 minutes ) ahhhhh! it keep giving me desrepencie warning...help

Same problem here, we were supposed to have a match 40 minutes ago and somehow their cdc works but ours doesnt. Primary or backup, same thing.

You guys have installed the new AA bug fix patch right?

yeah took me 45 minutes to get in the match the other day.Dam discrepancies LOL

yea UK1 are have the same CRC,s dont match??? and i patched AAO 1.9 and it is still there??? what now??

Run cleaner.exe, reinstall aa etc. Ur files aren't the same as the original gamefiles...

I havent installed the new aao patch and i get XInterface.u and IpDrv.u discrepancies.

Twinjet, that's because the servers have installed the patch. Install the patch and you'll be good to go.

Rookie. You shouldn't have had any problems deleting the extra files. I've deleted those files myself after running cleaner and didn't run into any problems at all running the game. Those files aren't even installed with the game, they are only installed by running cleaner.exe.

i have patched my CDC but i am still geting CRC,s dont match!!! what NOW??

Try uninstalling AA, then deleting it's folder if it's not.
Uninstall CDC, deleting it's folder if it's not.

Reinstall AA, apply the new AA patch, then reinstall CDC.
