Can someone Help me Please!!! cdc error Message 429

Can someone help me fix this , Heres the error message:
7/4/2003 11:48:36 PM : Error 429 (ActiveX component can't create object) in procedure Main of Module StartUp

Possibly try reinstalling DirectX from Microsoft.com?

There's only one thing that could cause that error in that particular spot. The component that it can't create gets installed with Internet Explorer 4.x+, so as long as you have that version or higher, it should work.

Now, what I'm going to do is check the distribution license for that component to see if I can legally distribute it in my setup package. But bear with me, these things read like the 2002 Tax laws.

OK, I found out that I can distribute it.
But, it looks like they have 2 different packages, 1 for Win2K+ and 1 for Win9x/ME/NT4.

Until I get a chance to actually compare the 2 versions to see if they are actually different, I'm not going to include it in the setup package just yet.

In the mean time, you can download the right version right from Micro$oft here;

It's the Windows Script 5.6.

Just d/l and install the one for your OS and you 'should' be OK.

Hydra ,i dont know if this will help , but here goes ... If i restore my pc back 2 months , the cdc 1.51 will work , but if do that ,i lose the info binded to my pc for the server Ive purchased. Im running IE 6.0, on os Xp. I tried to Dl the Ie service pack again , but the Menu window for cdc , still doesnt appear. Its running , but i have nowhere to entrer ip, port, pw ...etc. Ive used cdc since 1.2 , and have not had a prob b4 now .Ive removed all traces of the program that i can find , even done a regedit , to ensure that i had removed it all b4 i tried to reinstall. But the Prob still remains , if i can provide you with anymore info , Let me know , as im sitting right be side my pc with the cdc support forum Open , Thanx again Hydra for all the headaches you Must have suffered as a result of "KNOW NOTHING guyz " like myself .
