any ideas?

if it is read the following thread:
/forums/showthread.asp?forumid=54&threadid=422990
no, vista 32 but i will read that anyway to see if it helps.

Clanmate of mine had the same problem. Had to redownload and reinstall then it worked.
ive done that like 6 times with no luck. any other ideas out there. until then ill just keep trying.
I run it under Vista32. All I did was go to the folder where it's installed, right-clicked on AACDC.exe and chose properties, went to compatibility tab and checked off "Run as Administrator". Did the same to AutoUpdater.exe.

I'll check when I get home if I had to do it to any other files, but I don't believe I did.

Also, I don't use the shortcut created by the installer, I always start it right from the EXE.
A work round that works for him then is he could create a desktop icon and then right click it and then run as administator direct from the menu as it will still be there even if it is not in the properties option
It doesnt matter how i try to do it, whether its from a short cut or straight from the exe the option to run as administrator is not available for me to choose. i have reinstalled it like 10 times now and still nothing.
It's got to be something basic being missed here i've installed over a dozen CDC clients on PC's running vista.

Im at a loss for ideas then

Have you tried getting someone to do a remote access session to have a look for you?
CDC is clearly a Keylogger in which Vista's advanced security features will not allow it to run.
Did you turn off UAC for vista? If UAC is disabled everything should be set up as an administrator like in xp.. I'd try and see if it would run.. If not I'd set cdc for xp compatibility mode and see if the combination of those 2 (UAC off / XP mode)
would make it work..

32 or 64?

I have both 32 and 64 bit myself and done it loads on both
Of course, you, as a TWL admin would turn off the Keylogging features of CDC which would allow you to run it without Vista's advanced security features blocking it.

Sir, CDC does not keylog you nor does anything else malicious on your PC. period.
Luckily I've never run CDC in a match to know.

And no no I have to do it exactly the same way as everybody else and try and muddle through

Even as an ladder admin I don't have access to CDC as it is secure and its the same with any competition site normally only a select few mmebers of AC can access the secure logs
