cdc xp wont run

Hey guys, my CDC won't even start. When I try to start it, either from the start menu or from the program folder, the small "working" hourglass appears for a split sec and then nothing. I tried repairing, I tried un/re-install with registry cleaning and rebooting in between, and since I re-installed there is not even a log file to check for errors. Oh, and I dl'd and ran the windows scripts program that was posted in the stickies and I'm running XP as admin. This one has me stumped! Thanks in advance.
Start it right from the executable, not with any shortcut you may have

Anyone? Anyone?.....Bueller?..Bueller?
i had the same problem and in my case it got fixed by simply unplugging my internet connection (I use neostrada TP - Poland which means I must log out using a connection program) and when i am offline i simply run CDC and then connect to the internet
