Why is this coming up, cant play without the update
I happen to be getting the same error message using the Windows Vista Ultimate operating system. I have allowed both the CDC processes in my firewalls exceptions list.

Hmm, I was informed about this around 9 pm EST time yesterday.

I actually formatted 2 days ago, and havent had time to reinstall AA or CDC. . . until last night.

I ran it, it updated. . . closed, and started the latest version.

Im running Windows XP SP2.

Please post system specs. . . and ensure your firewall/routers are configured correctly.

I have sent an email to hydra asking what the changes were. . . and hopefully ill have something to show you guys soon.
XP SP2 Firewall was disabled, I too just formatted and reinstalled but never had a problem till now, My fix I had a member zip the cdc folder and copied the files over and it worked fine.

Please refresh yourself with the Signature Guidelines. Thank you.
Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit
Intel Core 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs)
1024GB RAM (waiting on my order of 4GB to arrive)
ATI Radeon X1950 Pro

I've disabled User Account Control (UAC), added both AACDC.exe and CDCUpdater.exe to my firewalls exceptions list, and used the "Run as Administrator" capability all without any luck into getting this to work.

I used a search engine prior to posting to find a hit which brought me to these forums, whereas Hydra provided an inquirer a download link for the update (which no longer works). Hopefully we will see the appearance of such an item in the near future as this is hindering my teams competition play until otherwise resolved.

Thank you all for your efforts.
I got it to automatically update on it's own. I'm not sure what was the issue before.
