CDC Minimize Problem: How to fix it here!

If cdc is minimizing your game you need to go through these steps to fix it:

1. First you want to click start and go to "Control Panel"
once you open this you will open a new window similar to the 1 below. i use windows xp so i had to click "Switch to classic view" which is to the top right of this window.

2. Next you need to click on "Display", which again will open a new window, as shown below.

3. Then click on the "Settings" tab which is top right. When you click that your window should look something like mine (below). There are to boxes, the first with the number 1, the second with number 2. what you need to do is disable number 2. to do this right click on it and untick "Attached".

Now you should be able to play using cdc with no problems.

thx. i had this problem against .error. so i know how annoying it is. now i found out how to fix it, i thought it would b nice to help ppl still having the problem
would be kooler if CDC just worked with dual monitors...
im not a programmer.. but i just cant see why that would be an issue.
nice but all you have to do is right click on the desk top then go to settings but hey yall want to do it the long way lol cool
still working around I see...
any plans to fix this issue?
after all dual monitors are becomming more and more popular.
which in turn is making CDC look more and more archaic.
Thanks Man. You saved my ass... I owe you one...
Yes a permanent fix to this issue would be nice. I use dual monitors and was unaware of this issue until in a match. Every time I click the mouse to shoot it would drop me to desktop. I thought I was just being a moron and hitting the windows key there for awhile until I noticed what was triggering the problem.
I don't have an extra monitor, which I would need, in order to try and fix it.

I got the same problem, what do i do?
I have one monitor but I did add a new vid card. Would this make my puter show me as having a 2nd monitor. If so then will this work for me. Im open to any suggestions.
If it's an ATI (dual monitor capable), probably.

Just to report that it worked and I no longer have that cruddy problem. Im good to go. Thanks
this problem also occurs if you have a TV connected, but not using at the moment. make sure you disable your TV before a match is played
thx
My deepest apologies for trying to bring a 2 year old thread back to life, but alas it's unavoidable... Please fix this issue as so many people run dual monitors now... How absurd it is to require us to disable our additional monitors!!! I just installed and updated for the very first time and was excited to get in my first sanctioned match, only to find that CDC was the only thing standing in my way.

I didn't have time to go research this issue while in the match so I had to give up my slot, almost losing the entire match if there wasn't another clan mate available. What my question is, how can a cheat client so riddled with issues like this be qualified for the competition level?

Perhaps you missed this.
gcfireman: Thank you for responding, I was afraid I'd be stepping on some toes resurrecting such an old thread....

Yes I did read the post from Hydra, but was hopeful that 2 years later things may have changed. Although I understand he did not have the operating environment to test this issue, however CRT's are cheap cheap cheap these days. I bet we could even find someone who would just give Hydra one of their old ones... I've got about 5 of them just lying around catching dust but am poor and can't afford the shipping.

Hydra would also need a video card that has dual monitor outputs, (ie. http://tinyurl.com/5jq59x or http://tinyurl.com/5vjbay ). I've got a feeling we could pull together as a community to get this issue solved.

I don't have 2 monitors, but I have one 24 inch monitor. Because of this big screen, I don't play Full Screen and with CDC on, it also minimizes my game when I move my cursor out of my screen, which isn't when I don't turn CDC on...

Any solution for this?

it's REALLY annoying!
