Odd Tribes Slang

Our team "mostly me" uses some really weird terms for certain things, and events in tribes, and I was wondering if any one else uses anything similar, or as bizarre as we do. Here's some of the more common ones we use....

Term: Mortar Flares
Usage: "Holy shit, that guy just got owned. He musta forgot his Mortar Flares...."
Definition:
Refers to hitting a very good open field mortar shot, usually on a capper. Sweet&Deadly invented this one after mortaring several cappers in a row that beat her for the flag.

Term: Butt Naked Base Ball
Usage: "I'm playing But Naked Base Ball on this map"
Definition:
Refers to any one playing a position in spawn, on purpose "ie flag d on minotuar". Can also refer to playing any position in spawn whether purposeful or not.

Term: Flow Route
Usage: "I hit a good Flow Route on that cap."
Definition:
Refers to a cap route with little or no setup. Usually starts directly from an inventory station, or a location very close to your own flag. The route is run continuously, without stopping to reset, or gain back energy, and runs straight thru the enemy flag and back to your own without stopping. Basically capping in one continuous circle, where the starting and ending points of the route are very close together.

Term: Offensive Push or O Push
Usage: "They stacked their D, but we got O Push and snuck a cap out."
Definition:
Refers to an event where the majority of the offense is past midfield, actively attacking the flag, and the midfielders are called forward on offense to help "push" out a cap. Can also refer to flooding defensive players to offense to help break a strong enemy defense.

Term: Jack
Usage: "I have a Jacked shrike if a capper wants it"
Definition:
Refers to hijacking an enemy vehicle, usually a shrike, but could be any stolen enemy vehicle.

Term: Nicks Limo Service
Usage: "Someone wanna take care of Nick's Limo Service parked over there?"
Definition:
Refers to any vehicle left unattended near the flag, that a capper could use to escape. This stemmed for one of our players "could you guess it was Nick?" left a grav cycle by the flag on DBF during a match, that cost us a cap.

Aaah, bet it's a commonly used term then

Term: Blaised
Usage: "Damn, Blaised again"
Definition: Synonym for TK. This was named after a teammate (Blaise) showed a propensity to being able to TK his teammates in the most effective way possible. It's mostly applicable to mortars and satchels, but it can me applied to any kind of TK. Of course this started a loooong time ago when Blaise was a little trigger happy and he's now learned to temper his desires to kill his teammates, but the name stuck.

I remember a Slapdash match once where our capper was bringing the flag home with the nme in hot pursuit. The nme cappers decided to try and make a grab just before we capped it and Blaise let off his satchel. He ended up killing 5 or 6 of the nme and another 5 or 6 of our team, including the capper. He then nonchalantly walked over to the flag, picked it up and completed the cap. VGW!

"Asstard": When raz tries to do anything

"Vulture Sniping": Heh, when you are dueling someone and are about to kill them only to have some damnable sniper finish off for you.

Here's one I know I've heard before

Term: Matrix Capping
Usuage: "That guy just got a matrix cap"
Definition:
Lagging unusually hard while you have the flag. Usually refers to the lag being "suspicious".

Snake Hunt:

Usage: Time for the snake hunt

Term used for the TKing that we do when there is 30 seconds left in match and the whole team tries to kill sidewinder.

I call this cherry picking

TKBMod - short for TK Bob mod. What started off as a string of truly unlucky TKs of me with the enemy flag (I was shooting at the enemy behid you!), has now become almost an every match game stat. "who got the most TKBs?" Couple clan members "joke" about activating some evil mod that automatically shoots if a player named Bobrath passes in front of their reticle. I hate them all.

I've also had other team's get in on the fun and offer up bounties for the ZHer that tk'd me the most... Course there was the one map where this offer was made and I killed myself more than anyone else on ZH did, so I got the free beer instead!

Term: Ping Pussy
Usage: He's a good player, but he's such a Ping Pussy
Definition:
Refers to a player who refuses to play with, or complains non-stop about a high ping. Mostly used to describe a player who usually gets a sub-120 ping whining about playing at a ping that is any higher than that. Even just a few points...

I remember one time playing one of these allstar teams on the 12-man ladder who had a few of the r33t LD. These LD refused to play on a server with anything more than 100 ping and they didn't have their own server. We spent 30 minutes trying different servers to make sure all their LD were pinging < 100 (our LD never made a peep, no matter what the ping was). They finally agreed to start the match after we suggested we should get a TWL admin into the server since it had been 30 minutes since the match was supposed to start.

They accused us of ping f*cking them because one of their LD was playing with a 110 ping.

Of course. Our 12-man team consisted of people with various time committment to spend on T2. Hardly any of them focused on T2 to the extent that you or I do. We had members as young as 9 and as old as 65. There wasn't a chance we were going to beat an allstar team even if they all had 400 pings.

That's what made the whole episode even more of a joke with the punchline being about people who wrap their whole identity and selfworth around online gaming.

Now the ultimate slang that no one knows. oh so very QQ
