October 20, 2007 (CARBONDALE, Ill.) - Authorities say an autopsy will probably take place this afternoon for a 19-year-old Southern Illinois University Carbondale student who died this week.

Alex Booth, a sophomore mechanical engineering major from Quincy, died Thursday evening of unknown causes. The Jackson County Coroner's office says an autopsy will take place pending availability of a pathologist.

Booth was taken from his residence in Pierce Hall to the hospital, where he later died. University spokesman Rod Sievers said no evidence was found at the scene suggesting any means of death, which makes the situation "mysterious."

I have recordings of him when we were messing with people in ts2 servers. Man, this is really upsetting.

you know what's even more upsetting is his last post on TribalWar.com was on the 17th of October at 2:05pm. There have been different reports, but what has been decided on is that Spry was on a stretcher being taken out of Pierce Hall at 5:30pm. One report notes he was pronounced dead only 45 minutes later.

He made a post...a simple post...stating "wtf im ripped" only hours before his death. He didn't even have the slightest indication that his life was going to end some four hours later.

I dunno why but this hurts worst than i imagined. I know i didnt know him in real life but I knew his voice and we talked on xfire a few weeks ago about school and stuff, and I used to join him whenever he played CS:S. Maybe it was because i knew him for a pretty long time in t2.

Luckily I know that Spry is in a better place right now watching down on us all (probably doing crazy maneuvers in his shrike). I didn't know him in real life but I did invest quite some time playing tribes 2 with this kid.

Unfortunately that is just what he was a kid, he was so young and judging from his choice to be a mechanical engineer he probably had a great life ahead of him! Let this all serve to inform you that you never know when your time is up!

I remember him being very funny and loving to joke around. I always enjoyed talking with him on teamspeak because he had his own independent thoughts and loved to have fun just playing the game without a bad competitive attitude.

This is ReVVeR coming to you all from Reno, NV in the 775 area code saying that Spry was a good person and damn this is the worst news I think I've heard all year. Especially with the circumstances.

I'll miss you Spry, Keep it real up there in heaven!

Im tryin to find them, I found one but its short and he only says one thing, i know we had more recordings of messing with people in ts.

Sigh.. Here I am going on TWL for the first time in a LONG time... and I'm hit with this...

What a loss.. I had some of the best times playing T2 and hanging on TS2/Vent with this fella. and I'll never forget him for the multiple times he killed me by whoring me down with the shrike.

Alex Booth, One of the Top brass of the most Coolest dudes I've had the honor to play with on any game. You son of a gun.. you are missed. Fly Proper buddy.
