RTCW on Steroids league

Reading through some of the WT stuff, I learned that you can play regualr wolf but with all the new WT classes. Granted, the gameplay will be severely changed but hell, that would be awsome to have to look at maps in a new light to come up with strats. Being spawn raped by the panzer would be no more and boosting over the wall on beach can be done alone by the ranger class (I think).

It will be hard to tell what mode people would rather play, esp. in a league setting. I would think the CTO and C&H modes would be more fun because they sound more action packed but look at SoF2, Inf is more poopular than CTF even though its boring. We should keep an eye on the public servers and see where the popularity is.

Since our concerns are mainly with making sure the new content works well, we have taken only a glance at the old maps, and yes, we're intrigued as you seem to be about how they'll end up being played.

Without a doubt the whole game would be redefined if played under WT - even just removing the things WT removes you'd find you had a different game.. then add what it adds.. and.. eek

I must admit I'm no RTCW veteran.. a mere pubber when I find the time, so how the game modes work out in vanilla RTCW are a mystery to me. But time will tell I'm sure. One thing I do know tho.. Tanne (an assault map in the same vein as beach - take the docs and escape/transmit) is great on stopwatch mode.. very tense - often, very quick too

I think it might be interesting which will be the dominant pub map...

Somehow I have a feeling people will still want to play beach even though its extremely tired...

well, if people play the wt maps on pubs, it'll be interesting to see. For a while, bases was our map of choice, then forts/hardcourt (even split on those 2), then most recently we've been pounding camp allllll day long.
