The rule sets for the ladders have been changed. The primary reasons for these changes are updates, organization, and the introduction of a general rules set for the TeamWarfare RtCW section. The league rule sets will also soon follow suit.
As rule sets, the ladder (and forthcoming league) sets are much shorter, providing more of an overview of the most important issues. The bulk of the details and broader explainations can be found in the new general rule set.
I recommend everyone take some time to review the general rule set as well as those sets concerning ladders in which they participate.
Rules and expectations are provided to our community at various levels within TeamWarfare: from the most general level of TeamWarfare (TWL overall) to a specific ladder rule set -- and, certainly also, at various points in between. Some general rules are replaced by more specific rules. Others are not. It is important for all of us to be aware of the rules and expectations, whether they concern match play, the ladder challenge process, cheating, hacking, forum and match conduct, or even team management.
Most of our rule sets within the RtCW section are guides to facilitate competition between teams eager to play. Nevertheless, there are rules included specifically to establish expectations from both individuals and teams. In most cases these expectations are well met by those demonstrating basic, common courtesy and respect to their opponents and other players -- let's all do our best to meet these expectations and minimize any need to enforce them. Makes for a better place to play and participate within the community. It also, frankly, makes our jobs easier. Fair 'nuf?
Note: There may be a period during which the pull-down menu will not provide access to the updated rule sets. Until that time, please use the following links. Feedback, notifications of error, and requests for changes should be made to directly to NiteSwine.
