Need some imput

1st - i noticed a lot off teams wanting to play Tram. But in my opinion Tram takes alot of players. So i would like to steal an idea from another league and suggest a half way point combined fun match. 2 teams vs 2 teams. Just an idea, let me know.

2nd. One idea that i did like in another thread was the final match being a custom map. But i need a real good custom for that. So throw some good custom maps out to me that you think would be good for a final.

mml church, ctf base, Base2, office, Breakout, etc.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing some fun custom maps like Tram and Breakout ( my fav map of all time ) as a 10 vs 10 or 9 vs 9 as a fun middle league match or something.

Tram is good in my book imo. I would love to play a match where you actually have to think about defense/offense, not just know to run into the other team.

As much as I like Breakout, it should not be used as a competition map imho. Dont use a dual obj map.

I think so, but the stopwatch would have to be modified from it's default 20 minute per side, maybe 10/10 would work although I think even then you would have to modify your tie rule and allow full holds to count as a point for each team instead of 0 otherwise the matches would go for days.


Custom map for Finals match...
Some people like to give Custom maps credit simply based upon the fact that the map is a "Custom Map".

The simple truth is that the majority of custom maps are not good for competition. Let's call a spade a spade.
The reality is also that there are a few custom maps that are really good for competition. I would strongly recommend NOT going with an untested Custom map for a match as important as a Finals match.

I'd suggest it may be something you consider for Season 3, and up to that time you can test out whichever maps you are considering.

A question I have for Seadawg is what is driving your consideration of having a Custom map for the Finals map?

Pissclams - Just to be different basically. We claim that shrub is played differently and so on. So i would like the final to be different. But remember this is for all of us. So if you think i'm smoking some bad tobacco say so and i will keep it a stock map.

Different can be good, different can be bad.
Doing things just to be different may not be the best reason. The stock maps are different themselves when given the additional properties that Shrub mod presents.

I'd just hate to see the two finals teams playing out an important match on a custom map simply to be different than OSP leagues.

How about x-lab for a custom...or even twilight??

All I know is if Tram is played, some kids are gonna get thoroughly welcomed aboard. Thoroughly.
