Does a hack have to be in your Wolf folder for it to be detected by Punkbuster?
Sportsmanship and Cheating
In the event one team believes the other team has used a cheat the match should be completed and the TeamWarfare Staff should be notified immediately (no later than 24 hours) so that a decision can be made. Failure to contact us within this time period will waive any right to protest. If the protesting team is the losing team, they should not register the loss until a ruling is made. By registering a loss the losing team waives all rights to protest. When it is known that a team is going to protest, both teams should submit evidence to support their side. Submitting demos and other information will help the Staff involved in ruling on the matter. Not providing information could limit the scope of the evaluation and hurt, rather than help, a team so both should participate. If it is shown that the bug is of such a degree to constitute a cheat, the TWL rules will be updated and disciplinary actions could be taken against the team in question.
TEAM CAPTAINS are the only members of a team to use "global chats" in matches. If it determined that team members other than captains Use global in a match that team will be either suspended or expelled from the league. Forfeits will be issued as a result. Team CAPTAINS "ARE" responsable for the actions of there team members during matches.
Not all bugs\exploits are not considered cheats. The TeamWarfare Staff acknowledges some unintended effects of bugs are an acceptable part of the game. We will take this into consideration when determining if a bug is so extreme that it warrants banning (disciplinary action will be taken against teams that use a banned bug\exploit).
If there are any questions regarding a bug or tactic that could be considered a cheat contact the TWL Staff for a pre-match ruling. A short demo demonstrating the bug/tactic should be submitted.
KNOW BUGS\EXPLOITS that are BANNED on TWL:
It has also been brought to the TWL RTCW staff's attention that it is possible through a certain process to obtain an unscoped mauser with the accuracy of a scoped mauser. Luckily, this is easy to tell through a number of factors. The user will have the mauser held up to his face while running around, a spectator would see a scoped perspective while the user ran around, and the console would say "WolfPlayer killed by SniperMan's Sniper Rifle" instead of Mauser. This will also be considered an exploit and teams using this will forfeit if sufficient proof is brought against them (accusations without demos are not sufficient proof). Thanks
Medi-flying: (using grenades to send team-mates flying)
Flamethrower clipping exploits (killing people through walls + closed doors with the flamer)
Boosting can be done with only 1 player. Double, triple boosting not allowed.
No recoil sniper/gun configs are banned. Snipers are required to demo. And have demos avail for admins if the demand them.
Base Tower 2 There is a map design flaw that if you boost onto the top of tower 2 on mp_base, you can see into the little side room with all the boxes. Its a small clipping bug where they didnt finish the ceiling on the map, but it can affect match play. So dont do it.
Gold/Objective Passing By killing yourself, you can pass the gold or documents through objects such as gated areas, which are intended to be closed off. To use this strategy is illegal. FIXED BY OSP)
Door Blocking Intentionally blocking a door on any map will now be considered an exploit. This was an issue when Wolf first was released but was fixed in a subsequent patch, but ways have arisen again to prevent doors from opening. Doing so intentionally will now be considered illegal.
If you have suspicions that a player is using an exploit listed above:
1.Complete the half round in question (either round 1 or round 2).
2.Find an admin (irc.enterthegame.com or http://irc.gamesnet.com; #teamwarfare) on irc.
3.That admin will review your case through demos.
4.If a team or player is found guilty of using any of the above exploits, that full round will be forfeited and a point will be awarded to the opponent. If a player cannot produce a demo to the admin, that full round will be forfeited and a point will be awarded to the opponent.
5.If a player or team is found innocent of using an exploit, the accusing team will lose their time out privileges for the rest of the game. If they have already used their timeouts, they will lose their timeout privileges for their next match.
6.The admins rulings are final and non-negotiable.
What if I suspect an opponent to be using a possible exploit, but it is not listed here?
1.Complete the half round in question (either round 1 or round 2).
2.Find an admin (irc.enterthegame.com or http://irc.gamesnet.com; #teamwarfare) on irc.
3.That admin will review your case through demos.
4.If the admin determines that the opponent was indeed using an exploit, that half round will be replayed in its entirety. In other words, if the exploit was used in half round 1 (where no time had been set), then half round 1 would be replayed. If the exploit is used in half round 2 (where a time to beat has already been set), then you will restart half round 2 using the time set in half round 1.
5.In this case, the admins ruling is not final. While it is not subject to appeal in reference to a specific match, we do want to make sure that an exploit is truly an exploit, and not just an error in judgment by an admin. Therefore, the possible exploit will be reviewed by an exploit tribunal (which will be made up from selected representatives of the RTCW competitive and the TWL admins) in order to determine whether the play in question is truly an exploit. The player who discovered and used the exploit will not be penalized in this case.
