Someone tell me a router that I can use to host on one comp and play on another along with rest for the squad. I have a router now that I dont think that I can do this with. Let me know the best selection. Thanks
If its a router than you can do it. What you have is probably a 1 port router in which you need a hub or a switch to add other pc's. If you go out and get yourself a 4 port router you'll be good to go. Check out Linksys... it's user friendly and easy to set up.
Hosting behind a router is problematic because the IP address your router gives the host computer is an internal address and can't be accessed from the outside.
The router must have port forwarding capabilitites. As D mentioned most Linksys have this enabled but it may be difficult to set up to host and play at the same time.
