As far as playing nova stat servers... well I don't play in the stat server unless I need an ego boost and wanna go shoot up some n00bs but that is rare.

That's great that your not interested in playing stat servers, but I would imagine there are others out there that would prefer not to install something that will get them banned from those servers simply to appease those at TWL. By the way Sludge, I'm not thinking Nova login protects you from cheats. But it does allow you to weed out the cheap bastards that can't fork out 40$ for a game and then expect everybody to believe that even though they're thieves, they draw the line at cheating.

Befor you jump the gun there is a simply solution to your dilemma.

In your BHD folder is a file called ACPI.dll

Argus of course replaces it with it's own hence the bannage.

Now the dev was smart enough to realize it is a good idea to back up such a file since it is indeed used. The backuped file is called nlacpi.dll.

Now uninstalling Argus is a simply delete or rename of acpi.dll and renaming nlacpi.dll back to acpi.dll.

Hence there is no reason why you can't comepete with argus and play stat servers.

When you have a match you rename ACPI.dll to something like ACPI.bak then name NLACPI.dll to ACPI.DLL

When it is match time you do the opposite.

Now the excuse is gone.

Sounds like a relatively easy fix. If that works then I have no problem with using Argus.

If you don't think NW stops the cheats then don't think this will do any better or it may if they receive the trainers in time for updates.

So your saying it does exactly the same thing as Nova login, but in order to appease those with pirated games TWL would rather use Argus so they can bypass Nova? Great, I'm definitely in the wrong place.

No, you can have NovaLogin required on your server all day long and it will do nothing to prevent or detect cheating. Nova servers have the actual cheat detection software on them. The only thing the login does is associate you with your unique ID so they are able to ban you effectively. That is all. Of course Nova is not going to distribute their cheat detection software to the public because the moment they do, someone will hack it.

Respice said it better than I did

When I said NWLogin I meant playing on the NW servers (both stat and non-stat)
Not to metion that nova anti cheat programs are about 2months behind scale. (useless) bc they could give a flyin #$%^ when it comes down to it.
