Multiple Teams For TDM Invitational

I was looking at the team listings for the upcoming TDM invitational league and noticed some teams are putting in a team 1 and team 2, etc.

While that is up to the admins to accept (I understand some teams are large) I think it would be more fair if those multiple teams were in the same division. The two BORO teams are in diff divisions at least, but if they were in the same division there would not be a possibility of having 2 BORO teams in the conference finals (pretty dull if you ask me)

Even worse is having HFE in two diff conferences. That means for the championship it could be HFE vs HFE. Lame.

This is just my opinion. I would like to see 4 diff teams in the final two matches to decide the championship.

Please do not flame, it is just an observation...Thoughts?

valid point...but i realistically dont see the 2 teams mentioned fielding both teams in finals competition. The league is just to competitive and anything can happen. Im not worried about it, but other teams may have the same feelings as you Sniper =\

well the hfe team 2 is all the new guys, none of the original hfe guys are on that team, so for one we will be able to field the two full teams. they are a totally diff team from hfe 1. only thing that we do together is practice for more poeple.

they have joined all the ladders so they are a differnet team, just same name

Of course they are in HFE, Their just team #2

right so all i am saying is have both in the same division. that way they cancel each other out. i have no complaints about fielding more than one team (as long as no one smurfs) but there is no reason to have team 1 and team 2 of the same team name in different divisions.

that way they would even play each other for a real match and have fun that way too for bragging rights.

i just hope it is changed. and i do think it would be a boro v boro match for the east conference

so put boro 1 and boro 2 in the african division or russian division in the east, and put the 2 hfe teams in the african or russian in the west.

that way no matter what, only one team from each team (huh? lol) would make it to the final 4. makes sense to me but i am out there a bit

I could of simply named [BoRo] Sex Machines a name other then BoRo and their wouldnt have been a problem cause you would have had no clue. They are a team representing the [BoRo] tag but being lead and coordinated by only the members you see on their rosters. Some of our newer guys have little match time and that would have equalled no playing really having 20+ guys in front of you. I spoke with Gero before I went ahead and did this. He simply said make sure no1 smurfs or both teams will be penalized. I said np both teams have 14 members + for a 6 man team wont be a problem. We created SM to give alot of guys chances to play. We are still 1 team on MoHi and SH but have decided to branch off in OBJ/TDM on TWL. And to say it would be BoRo vs BoRo eastern conference championship thats if like 10 TDM clans didnt join (I wont list them all) half have joined already.

In the end I didnt think it was fair to have a 30 man team only represented by a 6 man team when 25 to the 30 are dedicated and play once a day. Both teams will be in the East whether they are in the same division or not is no big deal come playoffs sedding might not even have us play them first round regardless. Anyway see you guys during thwe season and founders get off your ass and vote already on what night this should be held on.

uh, i asked for the WEST division, we were put into the EAST division, for what purpose? i dont know, dont cry to us about it, i already asked TC if we can get switched to the Western Conference, but havent got a reply.

wut impact said is about the same with us but not that many lol. team 2 is TOTALLY differnet from team 1. team 2 isnt lead by any1 from team 1 and no1 from team 1 will play on team 2. were not the same team on the ladder, but we are representing the same clan.

it is like arguing with a brick wall. have 2 teams. have 4 teams. have 8 teams. who gives a crap. but put them all in the same division so only one gets out alive.

that's all. should not be that hard.

either way...the best team will win man...it really doesnt matter. I dont see what the big deal is...we are a completely different team. We have seperate leadership and seperate players. We wear the same tags sure....but all we wanna do is compete and we dont want to leave our homies...want to pigeonhole someone for that? Hey, i dont wanna be in BoRo's division as much as you lol...but either way it should be a fun season. Every division has tons of competetion.....GL everyone should be a blast =)

There is no order at the moment to the Divisions. In a previous thread teams were told dont worry over the Division placement at the moment. Once the League is set to go teams will be rearranged according to timeslot and balancing of teams to all 4 Divisions.

I personally could care less, if their good enough to face each other in the finals then so be it, they deserve it. I wouldnt want to be in the finals knowing i wasnt ment to be there.

BREAKING NEWS: The New York Yankees have just decided to split their team in half and play in the American League and National League. No plans on changing the team name as of yet. I am really looking forward to a Yankee/Yankee world series.

Sorry if my sarcasm isnt appriciated... I feel that every team should be represented by their best players. If you have alot of talent, then thats great. But, that shouldnt allow you more than one team. HFE has like 1,000 members. They could put 10 teams together easily.

Just my opinion... however it turns out will be fine with me.

but what ur saying is partially wrong- it wouldnt be like the yanx saying "ok soriano on team1, jeter on team2... etc" using ur yankee example- it would be like if there farm system was stocked, but how r u gonna let a AAA shortstop start over jeter? or over soriano? so the minor leaguers (who may or may not be as good as pros) compete separately so they can play and have some fun

hope that wasnt too complicated, but that is kinda how boro does it; but BoRo SM is NOT considered a minor league team or anything like that... i just said that cuz its baseball

My opinion, clan leader(s) should understand that for particluar game there is avg of 6-8 players in most leagues and matches, thus going over 20 members for specific game in a clan and allowing more than 20 members in clan for that particluar game is something that should be not done. But that is my view on clans. Some people like to have anyone good they can get so that they have pool of players to choose from and then divisions like this done to keep everyone happy.

Teams who have a 2nd team, although it is run by a different leader, it still was a part of the orignal group and still is associated with the main group.

It will most likely not be a problem BUT in the event that enough teams are up to join the invite Leagues 2nd teams will have to be dropped to allow 1st teams to join.

This has no effect on the ladders though, so dont worry about that. It only applies to the invite Leagues.

Why so about 6 teams drop the league by about week 4 yet a team like [BoRo] Sex Machines that would stay in the entire time shouldnt be in. I think you should grade the teams on seriousness as well Gero because you and I both know a good amount of the teams that arent established will just drop like they did in OBJ/RB.

Team seriousness and activity are on top of the list of things that are looked at when selecting teams who requested to join.

Teams who have no or little history have a tough time getting in, unless of course they are actually a clan who reformed their identity. Things like this are looked at closely. The players and teams who are involved in having a clean, fun, and active League can be confident that the admins involved are focus in doing this to the best possible extent.

In the case of the TDM League there is really no reason to much worry about it as the teams who have signed up are all pretty much in the League.

Where do we apply to join TDMi? I don't see a link anywhere.
I say the more teams the merrier. BoRo takes the game very seriously and i'd rather see 4 BoRo teams than 4 other teams who drop out after a week.

It was my call on the multiple team issue. I have no problem with more than one team playing. But given the limited number of slots its only fair that "TDM" only teams be given priority over a second or third team from really large teams. Most likely this will not be an issue, however, I deemed it important to address. If you have an issue with my decision feel free to contact me.

well, compared to a lot of squads we arent really huge...we just have a lot of dedicated players who play ALL the damned time lol....and this is one of the ways we are gettin some competetion in =)
