why in the hell would anyone want to play this game anymore, HACKERS ftw eh!

not alot of hackers in ET anymore due to a SLAC anti-cheat system Everyone noes who the skilled part of the community are.

The ET Ultimate Installer (containing some popular maps, popular mods):

Most comp/"pro" pubs these days use SLAC (a third-party Anti-Cheat, a-la ESL Wire & etc.). Basically sign up for an account on the site, download/install the AC program, use your account to log in/point it to your ET to launch it, and you're good: http://sl-anticheat.com/

This is what I've recommended for a few years now. I currently recommend downloading it to almost all my clanmates getting back into ET who need it and its been perfect for getting everything they need to get back on track and back into the game. Great find for anyone whose needing to get rolling quickly.
